SMRT Service 966

I've been taking this bus for about a year and a half and I have some comments to make about it.
Firstly, the bus is sometimes filled with rubbish left by inconsiderate passengers which even sometimes is not cleared by the bus cleaner. The seats are so dusty and it really affects those who have asthma like me and imagine you take the bus for 1 hour.
Secondly, the bus engine is really noisy. I have to blast my music in order to listen to it. The seats are hurting my back and it makes my journey miserable.
Thirdly, I feel that SMRT should remove the additional route to Bukit Panjang as it waste precious 12 mins of time of my bus journey. The current route is from Marine Parade to Woodlands Interchange. They included the extra route about 3/4 near to the destination. I also noticed that there is little or no passengers during the morning hours(7.30-8a.m) in Bukit Panjang.
Lastly, I would like to say that I enjoyed taking SBS buses more than SMRT as the seats are more comfortable and it is less dusty. -

First point: I'd like to say you haven't tried 911 or 950 yet. Its worse there. I consider 966 good enough already as a regular commuter of 911 and occasional commuter of 966. Second point: Bus engine is the same across all services which has this type of bus, no matter you are riding on 966 or 190 (if you get the normal buses). If you don't like it there's no other choice other than sitting at the front instead of the back, since the buses used are the same
Third point: I think it was amended to suit PTC's territorial rule. I haven't took 966 ever since the amendment though.
Last point: The seats of SMRT and SBST buses are different. SMRT uses fur seats and thats why they trap dust. But to me the SMRT seats tend to be more comforatble as they are indivdual seats. Hated the fact that people like to squeeze their way to you on SBST buses -

I seriously hope SMRT displays the timetable of 966 at the bus stops, or even better, implement something like SBST's IRIS. I used to commute from Marine Parade to Teck Whye, return usually take 190 than change 966 at Bukit Panjang.. always a pain when you cross the bridge halfway then 966 run away..

The bus 966 interval is not consistent at all. Sometimes 15 mins, sometimes 25 mins, once even 1 hour at Woodlands interchange. In the morning, it is so super packed that I can't stand it anymore.
The air-con sometimes leak sia..very disturbing...
I paying $1.55 for the bus ride all the way from Marine Parade to Woodlands and I should get good service for that. -
those in wdl not happy the bus now goes thru bpj.
those bpj say they need the link. separate 966 into two services lah.
one frm wdl to eunos/mp.
another new service frm cck/bpj to eunos/mp.
will take light years for smrt to do this. probably, never. -

Like that SMRT can make more $$$ then those who wish to save 10 - 15 mins off their journey can take also -

TIB666L and TIB654 are replacing TIB453J.

I doubt they will introduce one from BP since unlikely the speed can beat 190.
I hope they start one from Yew Tee though, ply through CCK and Bricklands Rd. Else Yew Tee residents are real pitiful having to rely heavily on feeders.
