Well.. it's the preps that made the traffic slowing down. Can't blame on them. To side off a little, the Spanish fireworks was fantastic yesterday.Originally posted by tintinspartan:Funnylah the 502 BC. Ha! Well the ECP is terribly jammed packed as well along with Keppel Viaduct. Even 9 pm still stuck. Luckily took 30e. The Jam formed from 6 all the way till midnight. I myself was awed by the view. felt like going down to take some pics of the fireworks later tonight.
As what SBS9816E says , its from Spanish yesterday. Today if im not wrong should be China.Originally posted by darnitit:yesterday is by which country? and how abt today? yesterday was a nice one man.
if i ever step into this BC's bus and hear this....Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Great jam along Orchard and Esplanade rd before and after the fireworks.. If you use iris, most of the bus would show (Next bus: Arr , Subsequence bus: Arr).. Cos all buses start along Esplanade.. (Best time to take pic..) People standing on the road waiting for bus instead of standing on the bus stop platform..Btw, most of are bus late up to 50mins. I knew that because the BC on Svc 502 driving SBS 3746M keeping calling the OCC. Asking whether he can flip the desto over and complain that he want to go the toilet at somerset.. In the end, aft the OCC pay him as OT pay then he sped along PIE at 70++km/h.. He still request the OCC people to prepare tea, bread and 2 eggs when he get back to SLBP!!Some people were laughing... Look our for more 2moro night!!

Same goes to bugis / lavender area. Massive Jams started in the afternoon and lasted all the way into the night. Took me 30mins from ICA Building to Bugis MRT.Originally posted by tanjun:Motorists along St. Andrew Rd stopped halfway to watch the fireworks causing massive jams at Padang. Its dead boring , seriously.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Seriously..
I do not think that it was nice at all.. It was nowhere near to Spain.
Today's Straits times has a short article about this. Apparently, the dip was expected due to soil resettling after tunneling works and LTA wanted to divert the traffic flow, but the dip occured sooner than expected, resulting in this. And it seems that there is no need to be alarmed, for surrounding buildings are structurally sound.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Telok Blangah and Keppel road had jams because of the construction there . And sadly , 2 lanes were closed when a small collapsed happened next to the construction . Big cracks present and there was a huge dip in the road .I went past it while on 57.
Was on the ECP that day. All the cars suddenly slowed down when the fireworks started!Originally posted by tanjun:Motorists along St. Andrew Rd stopped halfway to watch the fireworks causing massive jams at Padang. Nicoll Highway and Marina Centre areas all encountered traffic jams.
That is why they are doing it on a weekend night. So that any kind of distruption would be kept to the minimum.Originally posted by carbikebus:Wonder what chaos will happen if Marina held the F1 races in future,More & More jamsGovt should reclaimed one of the Island to built an original Race track
