Poll: Direct Bus vs Fastest Route

Hi everybody. I am just curious abt this qn so I am just doing a personal poll here.
Suppose if u r living in a place without access to MRT, will you take a direct bus to your destination if there is or will you take the fastest route to your destination?
1. Direct Bus (It may not be the fastest route but should be the cheapest.)
2. Fastest route to your destination. (Includes transfers between buses and MRT. ) -
i'll stick with option one if i got time....if i am late and rushing i'll take option 2...depends on situation...

For me, I will stick with option 1 most of the time.
I have asked people in mindef forums too. The number of people taking on option 1 or 2 are roughly the same. Some don't even mind the costs of transfers between MRT and buses as long as time is saved while some find a hassle to transfer buses and have to wait for a significant amount fo time. -
Mostly option 2.
Will take option 1 if time is not an issue or if i'm feeling sleepy. -

if i need to go east i will take 67 from teckwhye ..
if i am in rush i will transfer 966 at pending but due to bad frequency sometimes it takes longer than 67 -
I prefer direct buses the most... I hate to transfer from one mode of transport to another... it's a hassle to me...
Unless if i wanna reach home early or reach at my destination early, i choose option 2. it's actually depends on the situation -
it takes all the same for me.
1) 961-912/962: abt an hr
2) 961-171-187/963/966: oso abt an hr
3) 852-965/969: still the same
4) 74-852/851-965/969: oso still the same
5) 74-167/980-969: still the same
6) 74-980-962: still...
7) 74-855-965/969: still too...
all i can say is that: i can take so many bus and transfer so many bus in order to get home. but sometimes depends on my mood -

I hate making bus - MRT - bus transfer which cost more and MRT - MRT transfer

Depends on your goals. If I'm in a hurry, then fastest route lor. If not in a hurry, direct bus coz it saves me money from having to transfer................

Fastest route no matter what unless joyriding!
Got BCP now, even when BCP no more still got $1.90 fare cap for SBST + Ride n Redeem (TD n BD)
But when it comes to SMRT area, will take direct no matter what cos if you transfer, it may take even longer due to frequency

For me it depends on situation. If im on concession I hate to walk and just bus hop any-o-how and usually it incurs more time than if i take a direct bus
If i'm not on concession, I prefer a direct bus. I dont mind walking up to 1km from my house to take a direct bus. e.g Toa Payoh Lor 6 Blk 237/1 that pair and Jln Toa Payoh Opp/Os Blk 195 that pair. However if I wanna take 59 I'd rather take 238 instead because of extra fare band if taken from Blk 1. At this end of the day u still pay around the same.
If i am rushing for bloody time i just take SPH's services. -

Looks like if bus company decides to rationalise bus services when CCL opens, around 50% of people will object.
