VO2x with standing area

Took SBS7233A today and this bus has a newly installed standing area.
Same position as those on the other DDs. It has similar railings to those found on VO3x.
But because the final forward facing seat (not counting the back row) is mounted on a step, there is a small wasted space. They have "cordoned" off that step with metal railings. Maybe can use for putting luggage...
They have also crammed 5 seats in the back row and 4 seats in the sideway facing ones.
They have also managed to squeeze 3 seats between the entrance and exit doors, with 1 seat before the handlebar and 2 seats after the handlebar, just like the LO3x, VO3x.
Those seats are new flat and thin VO2x style of seats, not the thick LO3x/VO3x seen on some other VO2x which have crammed 5 seats in the back row too.
The only bad point about the standing area is that the windows there are very low. -
So licensed capacity now can be comparable to CRBs or MK4?

Think of the old Leyland Olympian 2 Axles and then you know what he meant. Well, except the fact that the Lo2xs had some cushions. So I think the capaticity is about 89-94. I think

JIS freq become longer aft becoming PAC & many VO2xs are packed to the entrance every working days morning...

That's why I feel SBS should buy 10.6m and/ or 11m ADDs instead of just 12m ones... -

Hmm...there are 3 axle 10.6m ADD right? I rmbr HK have them think is VSO & DT , cant rmbr.
I rmbr someone told me that 2 axle DD having aircon , the rear axle is placed under severe load due to the additional weight of the aircon unit. -

Took SBS7279T today. Also standing area installed.
There is little headroom if you lean on the railings due to the vents mounted above.
Overall, only one seat is taken away because after the 3 rows are taken away, another 5 seats are crammed somewhere else. -

SBS7208Z of 255 has the standing area installed too.

I think JIS buses are only installed or all SLBP buses. BBDEP or ARBP Vo2x have no pressing need to be upgraded except 74 to be considered.

So I think whether bus being repainted or not has nothing to do with standing area.
Dunno how SBST choose which buses to install standing area though. -
