B9TL giving out Black Smoke..?

Recently i see more and more SV21 B9TL giving out black smoke when it accelerate... isit the lack of maintanace or is it really unavoidable..?..

carbon deposits accumulating inside the exhaust pipe area. probably where the catalytic converter is.

During start off , its still possible to see black smoke being emitted. However for Euro4 , its harder because of the technologies being implemented. -
SBS7433P is one of them. Took this bus and sat at the back, when it acclerates, black smoke comes out from the exhaust.
It reminds me of LO3x...but not so bad. -
Most of the DD gotta this problem too.. Dennis tridents , VO3x, B10TL also encouter these problems.. Btw, the dennis tridents are really getting old and dirty. Can see one part got filter (which is in a horrible state as well) , another part a big hole , revealing the "holes". -

Sumtimes its because of faulty Fuel Injectors.SMRT AMDEP buses really need refurbishment and overall cleaning

The tridents were never mantained that well. Of their 6 red rear-lights, surely got at least one out of order.
