3xxx were woodlands depot
4xxx were bedok side
and 6xxx were the BRAm side
1xxx n 2xxx got the most regos registered for albion vikings. as u can see they are serve east n west. therefore the distribution of then albion vikings when brand spanking new most were at west side.
then later 6xxx n 4xxx got some vikings also. so toa payoh services also cna used vikings. but in those days i guess since the 6xxx were very few in number, old bus fans would have had a real fun time spotting them cameoing on BRAm services. u will recall most BRAm services use guy victory instead or leyland victory baco.
so we proceed into the late eighties n nineties. by then many depots have come up and many fallen.
most of the 1xxx albions satyed in west under BBDEp. hence bt panjang u see albions.

yes they were BNDEp b57s registered under the 47xx 48xx series. most famous ons to me are the 4801 to 4810 which were brand new on the then service 14. i most would be flat roofed not raised roof. in particular reference to shurhirman's postOriginally posted by iveco:Then those are the B57s.

the 47xxx series of buses were the last to follow the depot registeration rule. before everything went madness ( aanyhow register)

If I want to read up more on leyland olympian axle 2 and 3, which volume should i get?

i think is volume 2. Singapore buses one.
no worries on buying. if u NUS student cna go the NUS libaray central one. books all in there
but as of aug 2007, central lib is now by card access.
the book is at he singapore malaya collection. it is placed near some very old 80s bus guides. call number is 382 somthing one

I remember Jurong had always been a Merc stronghold, with OF1413s, OF1417s and O405s dominating the transport scene. CLE did have some routes being served by OF1413s as well. -

Tibs took over service 188 and deployed majority Hino Volgren and a few NAC MB0405s in the beginning, after which the fleet became OAC MB0405s and Bendies. -

If I am not mistaken, AMK was also a Merc stronghold too other than Jurong. BRBP had a mixture of OF1413s, Leyland Victories and Volvo B57s. Some of the Clementi bus routes were under Jurong in 1980s, after which it came under BBDEP. Albion Vikings replaced the OF1413s on Clementi services for a short period of time before it switched to Volvo B57 buses in 1991.
