How i wish that this bus will be in Singapore! If it really comes here , wonder which company owns it? SBST or SMRT. Its chances of having it here is very slim. Good thing is that it carries lots of passngers , the bad thing is it occpuies too much space to be introduced here , it'll add on to the traffic congestion.
I think that SBST will buy it if it really happpens , but is very slim , only because its Volvo & SBST likes Volvo. The chances is high for SMRT as SMRT do own articulated buses , but what they want is Merz! Unless SMRT changes their mind & LTA approve , even if LTA approve such buses wonder who will buy it , SBST or SMRT? -
Wont happen trust me,Maybe not even 50 units of new artic buses in future.You believe or not if i say Train are the prefered choice in 6 years time?Maybe SBST & SMRTB have to withdrawn some of its bus routes.Only short/Direct routes are introduced.This is how the system are plan by our dear LTA & PTC

i think biarticulated bus is more suitable for some overseas airports where passengers need to travel between the airport building and the aircraft.
such superlong bus can carry lots of pax. but if it breakdowns and the next bus which arrives is a single deck regular bus; thats it! also, lots of time is wasted at the bus stop and other buses behind got to wait a longer time. if such bus need to switch lane from the bus bay or extreme left lane onto the right-most lane to turn, it jam up the whole road. such buses also got great difficulty switching lanes as its too long. further, many motorists in spore are so kiasu and inconsiderate that they refuse to give way to buses. and also require great space to park and monuvere inside bus interchanges in land-scarce spore! also, there's much less control against fare evasion. -
