Many don't know they are Queuing for 179 or 179A...Originally posted by chickenlittle2:This morning I saw the queue ends near the entrance of the alighting berth (Where buses come into BNL).. Super Super Long..
U think that is possible?Originally posted by tintinspartan:It could'nt get more worse. 179 is packed full to the brim but with the Pionner MRT Station U/C, at least that will help decrease the loads. I say, maybe they just introduce a service from CCK to NTU. And Of Course, under SMRT.

Highly unlikely. There were 21 buses running yesterday. Today, there are 22! Something strange is happening... The normal 179 takes exactly the same time for 1 round as the old 179 (as scheduled on timesheet). Only the 179A timings are shorter. I haven't seen any 179A timesheets clearly yet so can't tell shorter by how much.Originally posted by service_238:I knew it!!! I introduce 179A express. I cut run time because of its semi express route. Turnaround time for S179/S179A in totality is faster. means I will be able to cut at least 1-3 buses if that's the case.
Like this I have one extra spare bus in the depot - no need to worry not enough bus/worry less about not enough bus.
one extra bus in depot = one less BC to drive the bus - save the trouble of finding BC to drive the bus/cut manpower cost.
In all ways its cost savings for the company and in a way maximise profit on revenue per bus due to its turnaround time.
9162H on 179 today as usual - but it became SP today.Originally posted by stooper:Highly unlikely. There were 21 buses running yesterday and still 21 buses today. So if 9162H is really SP, means that SLBP has yet ANOTHER empty bus timeslot, and any SP buses will cameo...

Maybe SBST decided to be nicer to NTU students afterall..
Originally posted by stooper:By the way, can someone take a look at which 2 buses do the 179 to 255 crossovers? I suspect they may be VO3x.
The timings which they will depart BNL as 255 should be 7.10 and 7.40am, for 1 trip each.
9021G and 9031C are confirmed A/P shift buses.Originally posted by @@:
Any idea what are the 7 buses doing the afternoon rounds? And the 4 A/P shift buses? 9031C and 9049C don't seem to be on their normal rounds.
I haven't got a chance to spot buses since I am having classes from 9 to 3.

SMRT cant even cope on army shuttle liao.. how to cope university shuttle?Originally posted by azharjj:I think SBS Transit or SMRT should introduce a new service to NTU... People cant just have to travel to boon lay & take bus to NTU... like someone said, from CCK... If not, maybe from clementi...![]()

9162H was on 179 today. Same timeslot as on Monday. That means does 242 x-over in PM peak (9363U's timeslot on the old timetable).Originally posted by @@:

Board both buses if possible and take a look at their perm status stickers. 9162H has in fact been switched with 9094X. Or maybe a replacement hasn't been found for 9162H yet and 9094X is a fleet addition. Who knows?![]()
