hi folks
i have found an alarming mistake in the sgwiki topics under bus fleet
it is with regard to he advertisement blind system in the atleantans in the 80s n 90s called flexvision.
i currently am searching hard for a pic of the nice thing in the bus but have yet found any. the sgwiki says the "L type" have flexvision. Surhirman and I both confirm it was in the metsec bodyworks buses instead.
the metsec atleantans had 4 folds rear exit doors. the flexvision is located in todays PIW area of the B9. fitted in a much lower position than SBS7318's TV mobile, the thing is basically a advertising board for SBS to earn revenue.
the ads are placed on some kind of blind strips systems and the blinds strips make up the screen. the blind strips flip n we see the next ad. flip then next ad. i have once counted 5 flips before it goes back to the same ad.
as to not block people view of the ad SBS have removed the seat closest to he stairwell and left a grip hold thing , is sort of like waist level bars) there to block the area
L type atleantan name is wrong?
meanwhile we think the Alexander L type boidywork name has been wrongly given. It should be Alexander 'SB" where Sb stand for Singapore bus. Mike is currently checking on this. if SB is supposed to be the name have to change and correct all L type bodywork names.
