Reasons for unexpected transfers:
1. Original Depot almost out of fuel
2. Not enough fuel to ration to each of their buses
3. Could not maintain buses
4. To reduce over crowding
5. To reduce Costs -

Pt 3 is for certain extent, but not so much for the case all the time.
Pt 4 and Pt 5 can be relevant, but it depends on how they are being justified. -
1. and 2. Depots hardly run out of fuel. Some arbp buses do go to bbdep for refuelling before going back to arbp, for example the N shift which 409 used to have, however, this is believed to be due to the fuel booth being closed at 3+am.Originally posted by tintinspartan:Reasons for unexpected transfers:

3. Some depots do practise that, however, still a small factor.
Main reasons are actually, advertising contracts, fleet standardization and having to balance the mileage of buses of the same age (warranty issue/sale of buses made easier cos normally buyers won't want to buy high mileage buses at the same price). -

EDIT:
I just found out from SGWiki that there are no DM MKIV with AQUOS advertisements. So it might be the perm BRBP 88 bus, SBS 0903 X but it had a change in advertisement. Need clarification. -

3895R spotted on 54

I think its that rego, its the one with the HI-CHEW advert, converted CAC. The bus was using 54A desto sign, but the "A" was covered with some brown stuff. -

Yup..I nearly missed the bus because I wasn't looking at desto but what the bus looks like.
Rego might not be correct, but I know its HI-CHEW ad and CAC (like 3848C, but the plate number cfm is 3000+ and end with "R"..) -

SBS 3092 R didn't exist today. Though the check digit is correct... but, the only buses that are DM CAC are 200 of them, SBS 3723 D to SBS 3922 X. So how possibly can the bus be SBS 3092 R? -
I just checked with SGWiki... SBS 3092 R belonged to a long-ago phased-out bus MB LP1113.

Anyways, SBS 3895 R is AMDEP 13. So nothing special.
