yes, some buses have that irritating chime.Originally posted by stooper:SBS3905X has the bus stopping chime going "ding doing" 10 times, then a few seconds pause, then repeat 10 times again.
Is it the Lance one, ding dong dong dong, from high pitch to low pitch?Originally posted by TWS4793:SBS 1991J also have a special bus stopping bell.
It goes like this...
In the bell, there are four variations of chimes, and all four are being sounded simultaneously, one variation of the bell and then another variation of the bell.
I cannot make out the sound of the bell, but you might be interested in trying out this bus. The bus is on duty 23A/(don't know P shift duty code) for this week.
Don't think it is. Most of the Lances that I took have bus stopping chimes similiar to the typical chime that SBST use.Originally posted by Scania:Is it the Lance one, ding dong dong dong, from high pitch to low pitch?
There was the "authentic" chime in the 1st batch of 0405s. I don't know how to describe, but it's like a real mini bell hidden somewhere. There's a short echo after the chime too.Originally posted by manjieass:i like smrt's merc which has the soft bell type.. especially 'door closing' chime.. ding dong ding dong ding dong.. hard to find liao..
all replaced by beep beep beeeeep beeeep beeeep..
You meant "ding dong"? The original one was "ding dong dong dong" (high to low pitch)Originally posted by TWS4793:Don't think it is. Most of the Lances that I took have bus stopping chimes similiar to the typical chime that SBST use.

If I'm not wrong, this should be the chime that were used on Lances.Originally posted by nenepokey:

Like I said, the original bell for Lances are "ding dong dong dong" (high to low pitch). Due to AMDEP replacing some of the bells, you would hear the "ding dong" bell on Lances.Originally posted by TWS4793:If I'm not wrong, this should be the chime that were used on Lances.
that was the original bell for DAFs as well.Originally posted by Scania:Like I said, the original bell for Lances are "ding dong dong dong" (high to low pitch). Due to AMDEP replacing some of the bells, you would hear the "ding dong" bell on Lances.
