i went to googgle airebus for fun and came across some blogs/ forums talking abt standard of airebus' service. surprisingly practically everywhere i went people say bad things abt airebus. and many people say the food sucks.Originally posted by Urroh:Try Aeroline... It better..

There are complaints of roaches on Airebus too, simmilar to roach problems on SMRT CACs that SMRT tried to tackle.
Heard the food is quite terrible too. Dired up crossiants but maybe it's because of improper food storage facilities onboard. This recalled me to the Malaysian Travel Fair that I went with one of the KTM Railway Fan Ckub Members (Maybe some of you may know who i'm talking about) and we inspected and viewed every coach comapny that have their coaches on display. I quite like Transtar overall, esoecially their new Transtar 'Sollitare' Coach with 'Scania Chasis. Quite luxurious. 'Flight' meals on some coaches are sponsored by Delifrance. They served Crossiants and Hotmeals.
So, to prevent a coach travel catastraphy, book a ticket on Transtar and Five Star. -

Had anyone takes Malacca-Singapore Express bus to Malacca,it costs S$16 for adults and S$8 for child below 10 years old.It is cheap,does it.

Yes, Sri Maju tends to be my preferred choice over the past few years from Pudu Raya to Beach Road. Service standard (i.e. vehicle quality, timings) fairly consistent especially with the use of the old but still 1st class Mercedes-Benz V-8's with twin exhaust-pipes !! I can comfortably forget about massaging seats, individual videos & on-board food etc. on the newer but 6-cylinder only bus-chassi used by some others in exchange for real traditional German standard coach travel refinement here.
About your taking Transtar from Pasar Rakyat to Beach Road in just over 3 hours, does that timing exclude rest & toilet breaks ? If not i find it hard to believe that's possible because from repeated travels between SGP & KL, i'm very sure from KL to JB alone say mostly doing 100 km/h sometimes shooting to 130 km/h, still nett driving time around 3 hours. So from Johor to Beach Road + 30 mins. (exclude all stops for toilet, break & customs). In actuality, the best overall timing i've got was 4.5 hour from KL to Lavender / Beach Road on Mara using a Daewoo Royal V-10 without the usual 30 to 40 min meal break because they served something onboard.

Also, how much did you pay? I like to take Transtar 1st Class from Singapore to KL. Nice and powerful buses. I made it from Pasar Rakyat to Golden mile in just a little over 3 hours. You should try them. Audio and Video on demand. Meals on board. But I suggest you bring your own headphones.

Fares cheap but i notice the bus hardware deployed on SGP-Malacca routes is too old & inferior for nowadays. Only seem to see spring-suspended vehicles with low-end engines with noisy & vibrasive seperate 'donkey-engined' air-conditioners ?!
The rise in living standard of the market + the distance to Malacca is long enough to justify using moderately higher end coaches with air-suspension & engine driven air-con.
High time least some operators upgrade their fleets to that.
However, they can forget about the questionable frills like massaging seats & individual videos but invest funds more into the bus-chassi & coachwork aspects instead. But I noticed that Malacca-Singapore Express has deployed their new buses already.They are about 10 new buses.The old buses had sell of to Bas Kilang/Pekerja or Bas Sekolah.The chassis is also good.They are HINOs.They use HINO RKs & RMs.
