Low floor only from entrance to exit part. just like B9TL..Originally posted by Oceane:Wah... meaning the Scanias will also have the step before the exit door just like the Lances?
Yes, there are 2 steps near the exit door and 2 near the back. The back seat(middle) has a safety belt ! This is to prevent any one who seat there to fall in front just in case if the driver emergency brake.Originally posted by Oceane:Wah... meaning the Scanias will also have the step before the exit door just like the Lances?
Yes. Practically every low-entry WAB bus needs it.Originally posted by Oceane:Wah... meaning the Scanias will also have the step before the exit door just like the Lances?
It has been explained by "iveco", Dennis and DM were under the Mayflower group which merged with Walter Alexander. It just so happened that all but one DM body were discontinued by the merged company.Originally posted by nenepokey:how abt DM? did they merge with Walter Alexander and Dennis Specialist Vehicles?
You should try sitting on the middle back seats of bendies. They are fun.Originally posted by Airbus330Captain:Yes, there are 2 steps near the exit door and 2 near the back. currently the buses we have seen so far are the Caetano type.Originally posted by Oceane:So you're saying... all 500 Scanias use Gemilang bodywork but they have 2 different variants that only SBS 8034 B and SBS 8888 D use?
Yes.. they're all by Gemilang, but regarding to the variants, we have to see what's incoming for the months to come.Originally posted by Oceane:So you're saying... all 500 Scanias use Gemilang bodywork but they have 2 different variants that only SBS 8034 B and SBS 8888 D use?
Hehx... that's because a lot of ppl stubbornly assumed that it is CDGE!Originally posted by Superbus:Thank you for the confirmation. That puts an end to the rumours of CDGE supplying bodykits for the K230s. Wonder why some still insist that CDGE supplied the kits when all evidences were against it.![]()

place it so high...Originally posted by ^tamago^:it's not a bell stopping sign.
erm the sign on the ceiling is meant for the passengers at the rear to see. As for passengers coming from the front, they already have the 2 steps in front of them to pay their attention to.Originally posted by QX5216J:Noted some things about SBS8037T
3: Watch for steps flap was place on the CEILING.. (So high, by the time you've notice, you alrdy tripped.)
you've just reminded me of what happended when i was in Aust, on a K230UB.Originally posted by service_238:erm the sign on the ceiling is meant for the passengers at the rear to see. As for passengers coming from the front, they already have the 2 steps in front of them to pay their attention to.
The B9TL also have this just right after the exitOriginally posted by QX5216J:you've just reminded me of what happended when i was in Aust, on a K230UB.
i knocked my head while sitting at the rear.
hope i remember the lesson while on the SBSt's K230UB..![]()
Hmm, where exactly was it? Must be in the Eastern states. WA only has MErcs and little else. Boring.Originally posted by QX5216J:you've just reminded me of what happended when i was in Aust, on a K230UB.

Busway,Originally posted by iveco:Hmm, where exactly was it? Must be in the Eastern states. WA only has MErcs and little else. Boring.
Anyway, the O500s also come with a step after the exit doors, but no seat belts for pax sitting in the middle.
bcos such a big space was reserved for 2 wheelchair spaces. IMO no need for 2 spaces yet, personally i never even seen 1 PIW board the B9TLs. but such a big standee area also means bus can carry more pax. then again pax will complain say why the bus got so few seats. though such a design make more sense economically for SBST.Originally posted by QX5216J:1. one of them has a wheelchair ramp infront (Aust Version?)
2. the rest is at the mid exit, just that the method on opening the ramp is abit different, without the stick to pull it out.
seating capacity is lower than the Dennis Dart.
3. EDS displays the route number only.
4. has kneeling effect.
5. very quiet engine (i doubt it'll last)
except the merc o405NGH busesOriginally posted by ^tamago^:Yes. Practically every low-entry WAB bus needs it.
