[Locked] SBS Transit orders 900 buses from Scania (Part 1)

  I am also very curious. Anyone has seen the Scania with the bodywork featured on Scania website. That bodywork which Tammy posted a long time ago.

  anyway, just one question. Sv 100/174 are not considered as WAB service yet right? So can they take in PIW if they flag down the bus now?
  
  someone posted before that BCs driving those B9TL on non-WAB services are not allowed to pick up PIW? so this apply to Sv 100/174?
  
  Sv 88 and Sv 143 are still not WAB services also right?

  i took the pics of 8888, nothing special. just the rego and a few of the poles are vibrating like shit on the first day of service.

  Then, why 143 has B9TLs that totals up to more than half the total number of buses in the 143 fleet? I heard WAB service must have WAB buses that totals up to more than half of it's perm service fleet.

  The BC drive the Scania damn slow siah, the bus behind branch up. The DDU didn't even tell the BC he is late. Only when the bus will ending at Serangoon then the DDU updates itself -_-.
  
  Yes, I think the BCs at HGDEP are taking turns to learn to drive the Scania on route 100.
  
  A lot of elderly cannot see the EDS properly, the first thing they ask when they got up the bus, "100?".
  
  Timetable was like disrupted and I think everybody was buay song with 100 being so slow.
  
  and also saw 4 person in a group taking pictures at Ghim Moh.
  
  - Handgrips are the old type not those on B9TL(Advertisement handgrips).

  So slow that the SBS 8888D I was on bunched up with SBS 2669J yesterday.

  Mentioned this earlier. I saw some BCs on SBS 8038R having familiarisation with the new Scanias. By the way, those BCs are really Service 100 BCs or not?

  cant confirm though. this is the HGDEP ones, not sure about the SL ones (Sv 174), if they have CCTvs installed outside as well..
  
  theres a reason why all the BC driving the K230UB crawled..
  the bus is too EASY to control...
  ask 6 BC, they say the bus accelerates fast, thus they drive more slowly and with care..

  If im not wrong only 8888D and 8138K had CCTV installed. The others will have their CCTV installed in due course. No prizes for guessing why the above 2 got installed first.
  
  For those who took S100 yesterday evening, you would notice that the Serangoon-bound direction buses came in pairs. This is because that there was an MRT disruption in town hence more human traffic which led to buses being late. Buses that did not go to town were somewhat affected in one way or another due to the domino effect.

  Having half a fleet WAB doesn't mean it's automatically WAB. It has to be announced by SBST before the buses are allowed to pick up PIWs.

  I was on 167 and the crazy jam at Orchard made my trip from NBR to SBW stretched to almost 2 hours.

  Took SBS 8138K at 0728am at Sgoon Int.
  As you all have mentioned, alot of people were unsure if that;s Sv 100 and pple were asking me as well as there was no EDS lighted up before moving off.
  
  Irritating part was there were 2 beetles flying around the bus. The BC drove quite slow though at certain areas. Took almost close to an hour from Sgoon Int to One Raffles Quay

  Today I boarded SBS 8035Z and the BC driving speed was ok leh.. When the BC driving along BB, one BC driving MK 3 on Svc 506 ask the SBS 8035Z whether it is nice to drive this bus.

  The BC on 100 also there waving, hi-ing to the other BCs sort of like showing off they are driving the new bus.

  ok... but i saw a off service svc. 100 K230UB CHIONG along Lornie Road (towards PIE) at abt 12.15 today, maybe BC is late or sth...?

  SBS8038R is on S-shift today and is confirmed with sticker a 100 perm bus. And the aircon is so cold that the BC driving it have to wear jacket. I'm forced to wear a turtleneck and it is damn cold, especially at the rear. The BC complained to me about the coldness of the bus. I should nickname SBS8038R as 'Mr Fridge'.
