So that I can tell chickenlittle2 off with SLBP Scanias having dirtier rims whilst the rest have nicer and shiner rims. Until today, he still hides in his SLBP.Originally posted by sBs_boy:Seriously, whats the difference ? they are still K230UBs.
hmm..Originally posted by Superbus:Gemilang also supplied bodykits for the newer MAN buses in HK. Unheard because it's rather low-profile within our local community. How many of us actually knows major coachworks companies from across the Causeway?
Yeap. One of the Big Boys.Originally posted by QX5216J:hmm..
is MTrans one of them? Saw the badge on several M'sia coaches.
I would have guessed so too..I really felt like approaching them and ask them: "Are you forumnites from sgForums' Singapore Buses forum?"Originally posted by ^tamago^:Chances are that you've bumped into one of us.
yep but the sv(s)Originally posted by Oceane:SLBP got one of the earliest Scanias on SV 174... so most likely SLBP and HGDEP would get Scanias first since the Mark IIs are going away... then it would be AMDEP and BRBP for their MB WA O405s, BNDEP for the old Scanias... and maybe the last would be BBDEP and ARBP? Not sure.
hmm. aint sure if HK coaches had the MTrans body works.Originally posted by Superbus:Yeap. One of the Big Boys.
Sure is. MTrans exported its "Irizar PB" coaches to Hong Kong. So does SKS Coachworks with their e128 bodywork. SC Auto also exports their SC Chivalrous to Hong Kong.Originally posted by QX5216J:hmm. aint sure if HK coaches had the MTrans body works.
Dun really know wat u r talking but try to understand.. Scania is new and looks nice! but after I had asked so many pple they are unhappy about the seating arrangement (Lesser seats) and too many stairs (Not convenience for the ladies wearing high heels)..Originally posted by Oceane:So that I can tell chickenlittle2 off with SLBP Scanias having dirtier rims whilst the rest have nicer and shiner rims. Back to Gemilang, Sri Maju's LionStar coaches were bodied by them.

You took the same bus as me! I also took SBS8039M..Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Just now I took SBS 8039M on Svc 100, the driver turn to wrong direction at junction beside Queensway Shopping Ctr..
Instead of turning right, the bus turn left (Ikea).. One passenger ran forward and tell the BC he turned wrongly and guide him back on track by a big round and turn back again to Queensway Rd at Mujahidin Mosque.
That BC says that today is his first day driving this new bus on this service.. Btw, the aircon is really very cold. The wind coming out frm the aircon outlet is very strong..
The bus really vibrates quite heavily, hope that it would end up like it's Senior..
Pressure Regulator =/ or somethingOriginally posted by alleggerita:You took the same bus as me! I also took SBS8039M..
Is the driver a bald head driver? The BC for my ride is a bald head BC..and he also seem very excited about driving the new bus..
Judging by the vibrations now, I think it will end up like the poor N113CRB..
And did anyone notice a joystick-like thingy next to the steering wheel to the right where the door open/close buttons is located? What is it for?
For the air suspension? You mean the kneeling and auto-leveling functions of the bus is controlled by the BC and not automatic?Originally posted by kenn3th:Pressure Regulator =/ or something
Either mic or handbrake.Originally posted by alleggerita:And did anyone notice a joystick-like thingy next to the steering wheel to the right where the door open/close buttons is located? What is it for?
the air suspension has something similar to a switch.Originally posted by alleggerita:For the air suspension? You mean the kneeling and auto-leveling functions of the bus is controlled by the BC and not automatic?
So what will happen if the BC turns the joystick one full round?
thats a handbrake. (:Originally posted by ^tamago^:Either mic or handbrake.
Steering wheel adjuster not sure if it's left or right.
orh, then definitely not leOriginally posted by alleggerita:For the air suspension? You mean the kneeling and auto-leveling functions of the bus is controlled by the BC and not automatic?

The auto leveling is automatic . Otherwise why the word "auto" is there?Originally posted by alleggerita:For the air suspension? You mean the kneeling and auto-leveling functions of the bus is controlled by the BC and not automatic?

probably. anyway, did you see the MAN Midi?Originally posted by iveco:I think DRB-Hicom is also a supplier of bus body kits in MY. There are many buses in KL built by them.
IIRC Volgren also has a plant in Johor. Some Dennis Darts in JB have VOlgren body.

Kneeling however , is controlled by the BC .
The steering wheel in the K230UB adjusts for both reach and rake and it adjusts like any saloon car's steering wheel..It's a lever below the steering wheel on the steering column..unlock the lever to adjust for reach and rake and lock back the lever after adjusting..Originally posted by QX5216J:thats a handbrake. not sure for S.W adjuster though.
Volgren does not have a plant in Johor, Gemilang (situated in Johor) was licenced (not sure about now) to build Volgren buses in Malaysia using ckd kits. The Hino HS3KRKA/HS3KRKK, 1024H and the Volgren Lances were bodied by Gemilang.Originally posted by iveco:I think DRB-Hicom is also a supplier of bus body kits in MY.
