[Locked] SBS Transit orders 900 buses from Scania (Part 1)

Gemilang also supplied bodykits for the newer MAN buses in HK. Unheard because it's rather low-profile within our local community. How many of us actually knows major coachworks companies from across the Causeway?

Dun really know wat u r talking but try to understand.. Just now I took SBS 8039M on Svc 100, the driver turn to wrong direction at junction beside Queensway Shopping Ctr..
Instead of turning right, the bus turn left (Ikea).. One passenger ran forward and tell the BC he turned wrongly and guide him back on track by a big round and turn back again to Queensway Rd at Mujahidin Mosque.
That BC says that today is his first day driving this new bus on this service.. Btw, the aircon is really very cold. The wind coming out frm the aircon outlet is very strong..
The bus really vibrates quite heavily, hope that it would end up like it's Senior.. -

Steering wheel adjuster not sure if it's left or right.

I think DRB-Hicom is also a supplier of bus body kits in MY. There are many buses in KL built by them.
IIRC Volgren also has a plant in Johor. Some Dennis Darts in JB have VOlgren body. -

instead of Darts, i saw a MAN Midi last week while in Johor.
i also saw a Australian Coach (Volvo B12B?) somewhere in Johor (confirm import)
the Charter plate is there,
coach headlights (similar to aust)
and they're doing test drives (cos no reg plate..) -

The steering wheel in the K230UB adjusts for both reach and rake and it adjusts like any saloon car's steering wheel..It's a lever below the steering wheel on the steering column..unlock the lever to adjust for reach and rake and lock back the lever after adjusting..Originally posted by QX5216J:thats a handbrake. Volgren does not have a plant in Johor, Gemilang (situated in Johor) was licenced (not sure about now) to build Volgren buses in Malaysia using ckd kits.
