33 really needs to modernise along with 32...N113CRBs should be out of town area..so it has potential to get the K230UBs...
63 alr startin to have its share of K230UBs...
124 has a big area of elderly and quite a demand esp during PM OffPeak and it would prob be the first St Mikes service with K230UBs...
54 may not get
mainly cos all the services in Chinatown have WAB buses -
With a replaced bumper costing 3k, I don't think SBST wants to take chances anymore... -
anyway, there are around 15 more new new K230 inside AMDEP as of sat 12 Jan.
SBS8098S was one of them. the rest cant see rego clearly.
so it is anyone guess which service they will be..
have the chassis for the balance 400 new K230 started to arrive in HGBA? -

SBS436 (bus 26 : has chrome window sidings. rest on it u go cold. ahhahaha cuz metal cold to touch . the air-con refurb into grey panel one. got the Mercedes star logo on the air-con eye ball. very cool.bus has Tv mobile. odd one out in the 4xx series
SBS310: this one seldom do revenue service. but it has ez link readers. got do 130 recently before.
this one usually do museum express. this bus has the original merc inside look. not touch by refurbishment exercise. think they got built standing space le. this means the air-con panel is blue color de and i hope they still got the grey seats with blue fur fur strip down the middle. this is the seat desgin of the early nineties when the scania and emrcs new new.
sculli they change to red seat leow. wah lau.....
And those r the 3 special merc.
different bus interior from common batch spotting is a long time concept. in those days with all the soon chow bus in 80s, the bus interior if different than normal caught bus fans eyes also. even bus with different exterior from he batch catches bus fans eyes in the 1980s. for example SBS1088 i think albion viking bah had a soon chow front refurbishment. certainly caught my eye when i saw it last time.

well first fact is gemilang does export bus to perth Australia. so they do have perth bus like blueprints. this bus should be using some elements of those blueprints.
however i had been shown an interior of a custom coach K230UB pix so i will use that as reference.
the first two paragraph just says the 8033 uses a more Australian styling inside the bus. On the outside the bus has a funny groove at front. which looks like its collecting dust. ah choo. grey grey de. other than that like gemilang front.
The Australian k230Ub fixes the equipment up ways . that is instead of the bed like structure u find in front covering up the space, they lift everything 90 degrees clockwise and fit it up. this means the equipment box is now tilting into an oblong shape. this means more space to fit seats. HOWEVER 8033 did not fit any seat. oops
the air-con panelling adopts a more volgren look (translates to more australian look) and is not in a beige colour but purple. teh furniture panel covers are in a nice greenish dark blue colour.
there is the normal two step to the rear but u will find the rear seems a bit more sloped than usual k230UB. i put that down to the fact that the Custom Coach K230UB i saw have 3 steps. and to ease our step climbing burden i guess gemilang and Scania Singapore decided to do away with he third step and use a incline slope instead. its very a sharp slope compared to th others k230Ub flatter slope if u stand there.
the seats used are the same as SBS9888Y that VSO de seats.
the bell has a dweep sound before the usual ding dong. maybe circuitry between wheelchair bell and norrmal bell got tangled up or maybe is a leftover from a possible Australian-type bell fitting.
in all one word to describe 8033

238 is the latest one to get.

176C and 177A not in service.
In addition S63 has 5 units operating today. new guys include 8087Z and 8090M on top of 8074K 8084G 8086B. -

Towards Braddell.
Usually, the following would be the case:
3828K, 6:53am at My house bus stop
Loading, quite full, but still got space for others to board
272H 6:57am
Loading around the same as 3828K
Before 26 crossover got removed,
6:51am 3828K
6:54am 266B
6:57am 272H
With not so packed loading.
Today,
8083J (replacing 3828K), 6:55am still there at my house bus stop
Loading, full, competely packed, no space to move in.
Bus left only after next bus 8085D (replacing 272H) arrived at the bus stop at 6:57am.
Loading for 8085D, full seating + some standees, quite empty. -
