Test Plate doesnt mean that it will be the Scania's rego.Originally posted by tanjun:I saw a new Scania WAB buses with red EDS writing SBST new WAB buses along Sembawang Rd opposite Dieppe Barracks.
Behind the bus, there is a number 4693 number plate but without SBS prefix . I guess that since SBST is importing 500 buses,
perhaps rego of Scania WAB buses are: 4501 to 5000 or 4500 to 4999
the second scania we spotted?Originally posted by tanjun:Yup. The plate is blue and it seems to be hung instead of screwed onto the body itself. The bus body has no painting yet. Wondering why Scania WAB will pass by Sembawang Rd since it is SMRT territory?
Is it something like white/purple livery? If it is I think I saw it on BKE as well...Originally posted by lemon1974:anyway, is it true that now only need to put one trade plate behind?
i saw a new Semi-Decker Express Coach on SLE yesterday and it was hanging one blue trade plate behind only. None was spotted infront..
The bus could have just been delivered or what. SMRT territory doesn't mean SBST can't drive past. SMRT take charge of the bus operations, but don't own the road.Originally posted by tanjun:Yup. Now, we see no new Volvo Coaches owned by the private bus companys (besides big holiday, ComfortBus and WT). I think Scania is more worthy. Some new intercity coaches(Tranasional for example) are recieving new Scania Coaches and Aeroline have Scanias too.Originally posted by Scania:Scania has gained its trust from Singapore bus and coach operators over the years, look at the amount of coaches, Scania has the most share amongst all the European manufacturers, especially recent years. It shows that Scania buses are well recieved by bus and coach operators.
i think it is white/yellow, with big words on the sides. cant remember clearly..Originally posted by off_service:Is it something like white/purple livery? If it is I think I saw it on BKE as well...
Volvo is good too . But its high price tag makes Scania a good contender instead.Originally posted by tintinspartan:Now, we see no new Volvo Coaches owned by the private bus companys (besides big holiday, ComfortBus and WT). Like I say.. I dunno how much the private buses costs for scania.. Wat I know from my friend is.. After looking at various manufacturer, scania really gives a good deal and other confidential benefits to SBST.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Volvo is good too . Yep . Volvo engines requires additives to be Euro-IV . Scania , however , does not require any additional additives . Additives = more cost . Thats probably why SBST chose Scania .Originally posted by chickenlittle2:Like I say.. I dunno how much the private buses costs for scania.. Wat I know from my friend is.. I thought the additive was for Euro V and not Euro IV.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Yep . Volvo engines requires additives to be Euro-IV . Scania , however , does not require any additional additives . Additives = more cost . Thats probably why SBST chose Scania .
