Scania buses tend to vibrate alot. Doesn't matter whether if it's old or new.Originally posted by Winston Khong:As a passenger, I don't really like the new single decker buses. Horrid! I must say about its interior. So dull! When the bus goes on the bumpy road such as strips, the poles would rattle...wtf! The bus vibrates too!
As for the bodywork wise, it looks very cheap to me. Asian bodyworks? OMG!
ComfortDelgro has many companies under its control overseas. And how could they afford to shame their leading company to the rest of the world? I travel overseas and even the bodyworks of the buses looks better than SG buses. You call this professional? We pay and pay for our bus rides, and they increase and increase, yet they don't give us comfortable rides, WTF! Singapore Transport look so 2nd world. How can SG be called a 1st world country? Damn it! They still dare to order 500 units. Seriously I don't like Scanias, the new and old scanias are vibrating, what's the diff? At least Volvo buses are more reliable. I enjoy Mercz more.
Shame on you SBST!
Please be specific . Not all Scania buses vibrate . Cause what you said includes coaches and all the bus that Scania makes .Originally posted by Oceane:Scania buses tend to vibrate alot. Doesn't matter whether if it's old or new.
FYI, these Scania buses weren't bodied by CDGE. They are bodied by a Malaysian-registered coach manufacturing company, Gemilang Coachworks. That's why you see these type of cheapskate bodies on the roads.
OT: #1000 for this thread.![]()
8083 and 8085 are replacing 176 and 177 directly todayOriginally posted by service_238:176C and 177A not in service.
Ok... I mean in general Scania public-use buses from SBST and SMRT.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Please be specific . Not all Scania buses vibrate . Cause what you said includes coaches and all the bus that Scania makes .
Scania coaches hardly vibrate . I've taken one before and its as smooth as a merz . No joke . Comfort wise , suspension works perfectly , absorbing the bumps on the North-South highway . Power ? lots of it .
Both the B9TL's and K230UB i must say is really good . Altho quality cheapo , but at least they are easier to clean . Take a look at the Habits . The Habits look classy and sweet , however , tight corners and hard to reach areas made it difficult to clean , thereby attracting pests such as roaches .Originally posted by SBS3625D:To be truthful I hardly think CDGE's B9TL body was such a let-down. In fact I'm impressed.
It's simple and it still looks quite good and what I simply love is the one-piece wind-screen for top and bottom deck.
The same cannot be said for the K230. It's simply the classic case of trying to add all the "best features" from many bodies, only to get a rather pathetic result. My main gripe is the EDS. WTF. Why can't SBST just stick to what they know best, the red destos?? The EDS looks *pukes.
Good point you raised. Yes. I concur.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Both the B9TL's and K230UB i must say is really good . Altho quality cheapo , but at least they are easier to clean . Tried the P shift indian BC today. The way he drove the 8085D is the same as the 426G he drove yesterdayOriginally posted by choww:8083 and 8085 are replacing 176 and 177 directly today
If this direct replacement continues, meaning that weekends only have 1 Scania operating.
Ya. That botak drive till super super slow. The whole trip takes about 30+ minutesThe other short chinese BC was better than him
B9TL I don't think it's cheapskate bodywork.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Both the B9TL's and K230UB i must say is really good . 8083J P Shift (83P) BC almost bunched up with a mercs dm in front if not for traffic light for 1 of the first few P Shift trips. But 8085D indian drive quite slow as compared to 8083J.Originally posted by service_238:Tried the P shift indian BC today. The way he drove the 8085D is the same as the 426G he drove yesterday
8083J.. same chinese BC drove.. think he himself is on cameo timing.
Who the f*ck are you, and why are you trying to impersonate me?Originally posted by Winston Khong:What's there to be afraid of? I am speaking the truth, and the transport company should hear this!
Ok the truth is out, another clone wannabe. This is what I call cowards. Using other people's names and hiding behind it. Bo ji kia.Originally posted by Windy_hates_B10TLs:Who the f*ck are you, and why are you trying to impersonate me?
Oi we're discussing on SBST buses not the gone case SMRT buses lah.How can you compare new with old buses?Overall i think Some of the buses need to fitted with more foldable seats, for bodywork i've no comments at least it look more futuristic than any other dull designOriginally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Both the B9TL's and K230UB i must say is really good .
