But,
Vehicle Model : KUB4X2 8.9 AUTO ABS TURBO 2WD
What does this means ?
KUB4X2 should be the model of the K230UB probably under Internal records.
8.9 would be the horsepower of the K230UB. 8867cc rounds off to 8.9.
AUTO = automatic transmission?
2WD = 2 wheel drive.
ABS and TURBO I don't know. =P

4x2 means 4 wheels with 2 wheels as driving wheels.

8867cc (8.9 litres) is the engine capacity, not the horsepower. The horsepower is 230.
KUB4X2 would be the chassis code. The chassis model is determined by combining the engine's location and its power rating. Eg: K230, K270, K310 etc. AUTO should be for automatic transmission. ABS means the bus is equipped with an Anti-lock Braking System. TURBO means that the engine has a turbocharger.
Is there a manufacturer's plate on any of the K230s? If yes, where are they at?

To be exact, 4x2 means a two axle vehicle with drive on one axle.
KUB can be K230UB, K270UB, K310UB (ComfortDelgro Cabcharge has 14.5m version of the K310UB with steerable tag axle). For the future Euro 5 version, it would be K240UB, K280UB and K320UB. Scania has not decided to go the SCR way yet.
I believe the batch in the option order would be slightly different from the first 100. Something like 92 93 VOs, 94 95 96 VOs... along that line.

a (K/L)XXX(UB/UD/EB)6X2 would be a 3 axle 14.5m bus, as seen from ComfortDelgro-Cabcharge's L94UB6X2 and K310UB6X2s and KMBs K310UD6X2.
Anyone heard this Beep Beep Beep sound in K230UB? The beeping sound very 3D? What is that for?

Interesting. Apart from our good 'ol 997A, I'm not aware of any other 14.5m, 3-axle buses in Singapore. Any pics?

I think SBS8132B to SBS8137M will be similar to SBS8033D coz of the vehicle model thingy...

If the link does not work, go to http://businterchange.com/ and search for the K310UB. There are 2 or 3 photos with the tag steering in action.
