Converting to full Mk3 is even more sucidal. What 145 really need is a low bridge 10.3m Trident. For now, Merc is enough, Mk3s (33 standing pax) has less standing capacity than a Merc (around 46 to 50, total cap. 86) and will move less people.

Service 145 ever had a Volvo MK3 fleet somewhere in 1997-1998, after which it went back to Merc fleet again when AMDEP/BRBP transferred out all the Volvo MK3s.
Btw why DDs are not introduced on service 145?

Another reason DDs not introduced as an increase in frequency would be better to meet the customer demand. Similar to that for sv135.
Do note that for sv145 capacity, it maybe high demand for only certain stretches of the route...
All in good time. These SD WABs are the replacements for the SDs which have been/going to retire. I believe there will be orders for more DD WABs in the future.

DD WaBs can only ferry 1 wheelchair so SBST buy more SD WABs easier to alight lol. But to my opinion,these SD Wabs should have more seats as they will waste capacity lol.

Besides Service 105 BCs receiving Scania SD training, Service 109 BCs also had the same kind of training today. Info from a letter pasted outside the office at Serangoon Interchange.
