Well, Walter Alexander, Duple Metsec and Dennis Group were restructured under the Mayflower PLC umbrella. Walter Alexander was not related to Mayflower group. It merged with entities of Mayflower group and Plaxton to form Transbus. The DM3500s and DM5000s are rumoured to be the last DM bodied buses around before it was CLOSED when Transbus was formed when Alexander and Dennis merged. -
Transbus did produce the DM5000 bodies after merger as there was no low floor Walter Alexander body that has a low bridge version, a right hand drive version and a open top version. The production ceased when the Enviro 500 came out.Originally posted by tintinspartan:To add in:

the nickname of the bodywork style is called gemilang Caetano Copy. or gemilang Caetano for short.
cuz it really looks like the Caetano front. resourceful forumers may google Caaetano Hong Kong scania n find pics of the bus in question to compare.
