flag bus in advance:
sbstransit recently launched this campaign. it is fact that people's habits have not changed the past 20 years. people simply do not flag the bus down well in advance. this confuses drivers and sometimes they skip stop without seeing people flagging down because some people flag or not flag also cannot be sure.
or the driver has seen ur hand n is too late to stop the bus.
the guide says one shd flag a bus down 120m in advance. n it says that u should keep ur hand raised until the bus signal or if u want, come to a stop.
move to the rear larh:
common theses days. buses pack. people say they paying passenger and are entitled to their space. ok . very good. then the people who want to go home on the bus cannot larh. cannot baord .
most inconsiderate.
also if got seat in crowded bus for god sake sit down. dun stand n stand.
if u sit down u free up space for people to move n baord.
hogging the exit area will not do. it blocks people way if they wish to alight in the stops before u do. always move to he rear to find a seat or stay at he rear.
blasting of HP:
again this i checked n got people complain. one complain went cuz the HP real loud. if got ppl fall on bus , driver cannot hear. if got anyone wish to signal to bus driver got fault on bus 9say uh smoke coming from rear), he has to shout real loud across.
plus in the bus ppl juz wan to sit down n chat with frens. by playing HP music u drown out conver. very inconsiderate one.
in all if no Hp music is turned on, it would be a pleasant n comfortable environment in bus
cutting of nails n shaving in bus:
this one is a hygiene problem. u leave ur nail clippings n ur shaved bits on bus. ppl sit here jialat. why got finger nail, eeeee
very disgusting i see ppl do this.

That day saw 1 Sv 145... The front is packed like crazy yet there's no standee after the exit door

i think since we all are bus enthu, we shd also try to get people to move in to rear.
otherwise how wd u feel if u were the one at bus stop see the 145 go by with driver horn n wave say "sorry bus full"
then u see closely. got so much space behind then u go.

that is true.
the reason why these courtesy campaign were launched in the mid 80s were to tackle the selfish ness of Singaporenas on buses.
but i juz wonder why the campaign suddenly gone . esp last yr no more such campaign. -

was on a Sv 21 WAB.
everyone was stuffed infront.
was so PISSED that i shouted "EXCUSE ME!"
and i moved to the back and sit.

190 espacially with students 67 also same... -
got no seats ppl complain, then no seat ppl dun wan sit down
so got lots of standees and ppl say aiyah why the bus so crowded, must get more buses improve frequency
or else is everyone crowding around front and exit area squashing together when actually behind got lots of space, then again ppl boarding will complain very crowded
i think other than the 'move in to the rear' campaign also need a 'sit down when got seats' campaign -
Should be because people are now becoming more anti-social, like me. My sch mates dun like it. They never move in. It takes me in order to help sort the problem.

Same case for Service 960.. Those Indians will push very desperately to board the bus... Until the driver has to lie to the other Indians who are unable to board the bus and say that next bus coming very soon which is like say.... at least 15 minutes.. People don't like go too much further into because when they want alight they have to squeeze here squeeze there, making them very uncomfortable and hence they tend to camp at doors.
This kind of mentality we can never change, so just live with it.
