This pic the angle is the best among the 3 though the sunlight could be much better. You could have gone down at a time when the sunlight is equal, not covering bits and pieces of the bus. By the way make sure nothing gets cut away and no shadows are covering the bus.

)
And also the road divider beside the bus seems to be a better place to shoot photos of buses. This pic that I have shown is taken at the road divider. Don't worry since no one will stare at you or whatsoever -
Haha yeah, I had though about sunlight after taking those photos as it was around 2pm when I took them and the sunlight was in the wrong direction. If you stood at the road divider there won't be any shadows. Try taking pics at about 8am to 9am if you can. For me, I prefer to take pics when the sun is not that bright to enable me to take pics from any angle I like. The downside is that such pics are never THAT nice simply because good pics should have ample light shining on the surface of the subject facing you.
My 2888T pic I posted earlier is an example. I liked the angle, but you get the idea about the lighting part.

To Oceane:
You should try to take bus pix with adequate sunlight (i.e. in strategic locations & make sure sunlight is in the correct direction), but not at bus stops as there will be obstructions caused by the bollards or people alighting/boarding the bus. Do take my advice.

take this as an example of a good pix: )... I don't know where to buy a memory card reader for my camera so I can't upload them.
Will try shooting photos of buses in motion next time. -
You can buy a card reader at most stores at Funan IT Mall...
I find the main problem is the light, I find most of the photos you took at Yishun are too bright. This may only be a problem with the camera phone itself, and particularly prone to overexposure.
If you cannot get the poles out of the way, move yourself out of the way. You cna take at the junction after this bus stop too. Moving vehicles won't be a problem as long as you know your camera's shutter lag (the time between the pressing of the button until the picture is actually captured) and you will get a nice photo.

Personally I feel the TIB968R is fine as long as you move closer to the end of the path. Anyway the shots at the sides are overly bright but we will since its not an actual camera than its prone to do that. I have anothr pic shot at that angle:

Motion shots are difficult if the shutter speed is slow like mine. Everytime miss de. But here are some sucessful shots:

u can find a better spots with nice sunlight.. however it depend on u whether u want a off or a near side...
BUT... know the various bus routes well when u wanna take a specific bus on a specific svc.. -

However, if you want to take better photos of buses, I don't recommend using a phone camera. If you have enough money to afford for at least a good digital camera, why not go for it instead?

Location: Marina Centre. You can take Service 171 direct to the bus stop outside Esplanade.
TIB 0661A on Service 178 (29/11)
Location: Bukit Batok Central. You can take 852 direct to Bukit Batok and walk out to the bus stop (same location where I took this picture)
TIB 1079A on Service 913 (29/11)
Location: Outside WRI. You can take Service 169 direct to WRI (if the bus stop near your house serves this service), then walk out to where Services 161 and 168 will exit.
PA 5418B on Hippo Tours
Location: Suntec City. You can again take Service 171 direct to Marina Centre and find Hippo Tours and Duck Tours buses outside Suntec Convention Centre.

Let me give everybody a piece of advice.
If you want to take photos at the centre median, go ahead, but always remember, SAFETY FIRST!
Some traffic island consist of 2 pieces of D1 kerb placed together or just cast in-situ concrete divider. These are not a safe place to stand and take photos.
Go ahead and stand along centre medians that are wide, like Kampong Bahru Road.
So to TIB1049L, please take care of yourself. What you do has consequences for others, especially motorists who are afraid of what you are doing, taking photos. -
