I remember onboard svcs 154 to Jurong interchange, the bus I was on (this model) was literally zooming past all the other buses and quite a number of cars along Jalan Ahmad Ibrahim. But hey, even at that speed it was very smooth ride.

Anyway i was lucky to live arnd AMK, Hougang area...took the O305s literally everyday -

But to calm u down, 1 good thing is that the inside is very spacious. I think even better than the modern aircon dds in use today.

There are lots of praise for the merc dd bus's engine power. And ya, it sounds powerful.
How bout the LO2x?
Its used on svc 179 and for a jam packed bus to start moving from a bus stop on a very steep slope at NTU requires considerable engine power. -

292 don't think it ever had DD's before. -
Yup...... still remembered that before 1998 (the year in which many trunk services turns from PAC to FAC services) the following services used LO2x JRBP) and O305s for their NAC fleets - 154, 97, 51 and 197 which if I am not wrong, 30 is the only sv with VO2x and LO2x combination then......Originally posted by MingFreeman:154 yes.......leyland and merc models are used on this service.

For Townlink 291
Used to have LA, LO2X (Not sure), Vo3X
For Feeder 292 No Double Decker (Maybe because of St 22 and St 11)
For Townlink 293 No Double Decker (Dunno why, Maybe of St 71) -
293 used to have LAs when it was not serving St 71, DDs went to 291 when 291 serves St 81. 291 has no LO2x, ith as VO2x and VO3x. + 1 VSO cameoOriginally posted by bus555:I dont think so.
