  I agree with a reply earlier. When we are travelling in the bus, there is the illusion that it is travelling faster than it actually is.

  Well even if it's driving at 80km/h... isn't it a bit too fast for Marymount Road?

  That's why I'm asking. Nor is it the first or second or even third time I'm asking around. Nobody appears to know the answer. I wanted to ask the BC, but then it got transferred out of 88.

  As far as I know, it's still dragging its gears now on Service21. Sounds a bit better than last time on Service88. Gear changes slightly faster now. Gear jam last time, problem seemed to be fixed around late Aug - early Sept 07 than came back again.
  
  But 9423E can speed better than the other VO3xs on Service21. That's the only good point i can think of for its gearbox. Reaches higher speed in 2nd gear than in SBS9491H.

  All public buses are automatic transmission so the name Autobox is given for it's gearbox.

  Sad ar. What's taking so long to fix the gearbox? Or is it they can't be bothered to do it? We are talking about years here!
  
  Actually among all the VO3X on 88 then, I like 9580J best. Very well mantained mechanically. Dunno about now. I took it on 72 some time ago and it's starting to run a bit rough.

  I see. Even so , its exhaust seems far worst than the merc , altho both vehicles are of EuroI emission standards.
