take the bus to the mrt and the train down.
if u want bus only, u can take 95 to commonwealth ave(the red blocks bus stop) & change to 106/111. -
Hihi,
I would need to report to Mindef, Gombak Camp at 9am on tuesday and I stay in Bishan.
One way would be to take mrt to CCK and change to bus 67 but i think its too far as Gombak camp is actually quite near to Bishan. Another way would be to take MRT to newton mrt and change to bus 171. However I am not sure of the traffic conditions and the frequency of the bus.
Could some kind soul please tell me which one is the fastest way (the above 2 or another way) to get to Gombak Camp from Bishan?

ouh okay. there isnt any kallang sea sports centre in my map.
since u say it's near the stadium..
why not u alight at kallang stadium, jaywalk to the walkway along the river.. (meaning u have to cross sims ave & kallang road).. and just walk straight down..
after one toilet.. walk straight on & on your left now is the kallang sea trng centre.. walk further up.. under the merdeka bridge.. once u emerge out of there is the kallang water sports centre.
unless the places change their names and the online maps arent updated.. this is only what i have for you.

looks like there is no direct way to orchard, in that case i think mrt is the fastest during peak hours (though i hate the idea of travelling down (the EW line) and transferring up (the NS line) again. thanks for the info!

i think it's okay to just take 106/111 to orchard. saves the trouble of switching to train, switching at raffles place & going up the escalator at orchard. at least the bus brings u to ur destination right at its doorstep. journey time is comparable too.
switching at the bus stop only is much more simpler.
i'm still considering. driving long distance is tiring & dono if carpooling will make me cut even with high petrol prices & ERP. -

95 -> 105. Slightly faster than 106 and cheaper than 111. -

Currently thinking of mrt as it's during the morning rush hour...but would like to see if theres any alternatives..thanks in advance.

Take 107 to Bendemeer Rd (note there is only ONE stop you can alight at, the stop right after the PIE) then change 65. If you are coming from Ave 8 you can also take 147 there. Int... better take 107. Journey shorter. -

take to queensway instead. There got 51 61 93 and 100. If you are not rushing for time you can take 57 directly there, but it takes much longer. -
