Take 518 from Opposite TPJC or near the Esso kiosk to Far East Plaza, change 105 132 for 3 stops.
If you dont want express bus, take 59 from the same bus stop as stated above to Toa Payoh Lor 1 Blk 163, cut thru the blocks to Jln Toa Payoh, cross the bridge and take 105.

how long you reckon this route takes?

59 takes 35-40min
Cutting thru the blocks takes 5-6min
105 takes 15-20min
all exclude waiting time

normally i will take 31, 857, 985 to opp st andrew jr school stop than change to 154, 151 to reach sim hq opp stop
but after checking 985 route i discover that it actually stop at Jln Anak BT Opp bukit timah plaza than at the same stop change to 52 it will reach opp of sim hq stop .. so can anyone help to verify is this direction correct ?
thanks
52 61 75 184
return trip, you can take 52 to Jln jurong kechil den 985. alternatively you can take 61 to another part of jln jurong kechil, cross then 985. 52's freq may be abit bad.
return trip you may want to stick to ur current route. i study at NUS High and i find it a chore taking 985 back.

You can try walking to the Maju Camp bus stop and board. Its damn near.
In addition to the Jln Jurong Kechil take 985 home, you can try taking 74/151/154 to anywhere along Dunearn Rd (before Adam Rd) change 66.
From what I see as long as the KK Hospital and Newton circus isnt jammed too much during peak hour, both routes (151/154->31/985 and 74/151/154->66) will take about the same time. This is because PIE Upp Serangoon Rd exit is always jammed during peak hours. Even out the time is about the same. Not forgetting Serangoon Rd got bus lane.
Frankly speaking it sucks to take 52 for 4 stops and xfer to 985. Imagine you just miss 52 and miss 985. You will incur more waiting time. In the end fastest route back becomes the slowest.

So it depends on your luck is it?
Guess I am in the same situation too... Need to reconsider my choices of transportation.

talking abt the PIE. i was driving home and stuck in usual evening peak traffic from lornie onwards till kallang.....
...
until i saw a delima ekspres bus using jln toa payoh from old PA all the way then reenter PIE up ahead.
in my mind i went... smart bastard.

chiong thru CJC bus stop 3 times before. That's when I cannot filter to Lane 2/3 and when Lane 4 is too slow. Of course there's no bus la if not it defeats the purpose.
Most recent was last week when there was an accident after Thomson Flyover on Lane 1 (when i reached they moved the vehicles to road shoulder). Naturally the vehicles went slow mo. Just nice no bus at CJC stop. chiong thru there.. ![]()
Other times tried Jln Toa Payoh (Trellis) slip road when I want to exit Kim Keat Link. Quite seldom though.

have a five minutes walk to blk 55 and board 75, 175 or 970. IIRC, the journey is only 4 stops. Alight opposite Great World City.
