  is the dennis lance a low floor bus? at the front there isn't a step if i remember correctly

  There is a step at the entrance and exit.
  
  Lance SLF is the low-floor variant of the Lance, which is simply a rear mounted chassis.

  Dennis Lance is a one-step entry and exit bus, lyk the Scania L113CRL Strider, with the one-step entry, although the Scania has another step for the exit. however, for the ELBO version of the CRL, it is a zero-step entry, slowly sloping upwards with a one-step exit. in the Dennis Lance, people who boarded are unwilling to stand as the rear after the exit as the step leading to the seats is quite high and they are afraid that when the BC applies an e-brake, meaning emergency brake, they might fall and hurt.

  as other already said Dennis lance got 1 step at entry & exit. but actually low floor refers to the whole bus is low floor throughout, if just the front is no step then is called low entry. even so Dennis Lance (not dennis lance SLF) got the high high step, so SMRT go paste yellow strips around the step to make it more obvous (then people won't fall down so easily) and the 'Mind your step' sign beside it.

  Nowadays many Lances pick up speed are tightened due to the powerful acceleration

  and that reminds me of the SCANIA 113CRB buses with powerful acceleration during its youthful days. i believe their pickup speed were tightened since the mid 90s.

  i think Dennis SLF refers to the WAb version of the Dennis lance
  
  and yes the Scania L113CRL are supposed to be WABs

  L113CRLs are able to be bodied low floor from entrance to exit doors, except that TIBS did not specify for such bodies to be utilised.
  
  The Strider-bodied buses were specced with underfloor airconditioners, making it impossible to even have them low-entry with a smooth gradient to exit door.
