Qn: Which aircon buses did sv 13 n 76 use b4 1991 when the Merz WA came in???
Yup. 138 previously was from Yio Chu Kang Ter (Ave 6, then turn right to Ave 5). It was later amended to originate from Ang Mo Kio Int, and used Aves 5 and 8. Then, 138, 265 and 267 were the only 3 services to right-turn into Ang Mo Kio Int saw-tooth berths. Though it was faster, people didn't take it to Ang Mo Kio Int as feeders were still cheaper then.Originally posted by BusSpeeder:138 used to take ang mo kio ave 8 and ang mo kio ave 5(the bus stops 45 takes right now), but amended to ply ang mo kio ave 3,6 before turning left to ave 5.
159 plied from ang mo kio - toa payoh to ang mo kio - toa payoh(loop) and to toa payoh - sengkang. the old 159 used to ply ang mo kio ave 3,6 and ave 1 and its current route to toa payoh.
After extend to Sengkang, sv 159 for some time was Toa Payoh - Sengkang loop svc, then became Sengkang - Toa Payoh svcOriginally posted by ^tamago^:159 was toa payoh - ang mo kio (loop), not the other way round. From Toa Payoh after Ave 1, it turns into Ave 8 (like 22/24) and heads into the Int. After letting pax alight, it immediately heads to 159 saw-tooth berth to pick up berth (hence the loop), then exits at Ave 3 before heading to Aves 6 and 1 (like 133/136) before heading back to Toa Payoh.

i remembered when 138 was amended to ply ave 6 and turn left to ave 5 from ang mo kio int, the 2 bus-stops at ave 5 that 138 used to serve when it was taking ave 8 and 5 got sealed off until 45 came.

169 was handed over in the 80s when Tibs first came up, as they took over Woodlands.Originally posted by tanjun:I realised that many routes last time are handed over to TIBS. Eg. 169, 171
How exactly do that happen? Any reason for the event? Does the company put up a notice stating like 169 or 171 is going to be handed over to TIBS?
307 can use bendies? If that's the case I hope to see perm bendies on 307 soon...Originally posted by Volvo Olympian:Hmm , the morning x-over also any 0405 OAC from 190 usually. Very rare to see bendy , the last I saw bendy on 307 was mid this year during the x-over...
