SBS9030E is a good bus. Can you imagine a heavy steering bus described like a Mercz?
Come on chickenlittle2, although you are an EXTRA regular passenger of slbp buses, please be more open and impartial, slbp buses aren't the best. Even if there are good buses, how many can you use to compare with buses from other depots? I am not saying slbp maintains lousy buses, just that buses from other depot usually perform better, you see. Travel more on other buses with an open heart, gain more experiences, this way you may realise how much lacking are there in slbp buses. Every depot have their strengths and weaknesses. slbp may be the LO paradise, but not all the LOs can be compared with amdep ones. All depends on how well the depots maintain the buses. Living in the area with buses deployed majority from the certain depot doesn't mean you have to agree with their buses. Only by travelling you will know which buses can really perform well.
I don't deny S179 LOs are performing well. SBS9049C currently is the one that "cannot be compared" with the rest of the other S179 LOs. -

Wierd...dun see any good amkdep or any other depot gd buses in ur signature...all slbp.

All I can recall about 9030E was it's very clear ZF sounds, especially when it switches gears.
Among all the former/present 72 LOs, I liked none of them. They are just LOs to me, if you asked me.
In fact, the buses on 72 just seems to get run-down when they come to 72 and improve when they leave.
I never figured out that 9199C was that great on speed, when it was on 72, it was a slow-poke with grease stains every where. 9580J was my favourite VO, but once it went to 72, it became another slow-poke. -
