etc , if a bus is not properly maintained the black smoke it gave out contains what?
What can Singapore Bus companies do to cut down pollution problems caused by diesel?
Scania N113CRB luver
Black smoke is PM10 , or diesel particulates .

KMB (in Hong Kong) fitted some old buses with catalytic converters so that the emission is Euro 1 standard. but i dont think SBST/ SMRT did anything like that. some people also say before the new new B9TL starting to give out black smoke, then someone said is bcos exhaust pipe blocked or something liddat. so erm another way to improve pollution problems is to clean exhaust pipe regularly i suppose...

Compare that with the LOs. They're smoky. But, remember about the K230UBs and the CNGs. They come in handy for your project.
K230UBs = first buses in Singapore with EURO IV standards Volvo B10BLE CNGs = first batch of CNG powered buses
