I reckon that they are badly maintained engines, because the OEM engines (the original and approved one) for the LO3xes are a newer version of the engines the Dragons have. I think I know what you're talking about now. Those LO3x which sound like Dragons sound much more deeper and has more farting sounds. The retrofitted buses don't sound so deep.
BTW, some of HK's Leyland sound exactly the same as the retrofitted LO3x in SG. That means most likely HK and SG used the same method to retrofit the engine. -
SBS 9065E got an interesting rear light(The both lights at the top). Both the lights at the top would light up when the door is open and would turn off when the door is closed during the daytime.

One of the EZ-Link card readers on SBS 3610X has been decayed so badly, so much so that part of the PCB (Printed Circuit Board) is exposed.

all CNGs are in MIA til 8 Jan 2008 or later because of a problem at Jurong Island CNG Pumps
the MIA could be longer if the problem isnt fixed. In the meantime the slots would be taken up by the mk IVs and 0405s or for S143 sometimes DDs...
the CNGs have MIA-ed for a few days already -

Until they open the 2nd CNG station, this problem might resurface in the future. -
