Maybe SBST can have one alert scheme: EMAIL REDEPLOYMENT alert

Why should SBST do that to update us? We're not any SBST staff.

Do u think a normal passengers would really care about this kind of email redeloyment alert ?
160 and 170 uses 170 fare stages for Ezlink.
So if you take 160, on your Ezlink card, it would have been recorded that you took 170.
Also, from Jurong East, the Ezlink fare stage does not start from 1.
really? i didnt no abt this.
SBS 9806J no longer has a Voith 3-speed. It is now installed with a ZF gearbox instead.
Some notes:
1) Max gear reached - 4th gear, so its assumable for now its a 4HP gearbox.
2) Thanks to SBS9818A for his clarification on the gearbox issue. The bus is using a cannibalised ZF 4HP500 gearbox from a Leyland Olympian 3-axle, most likely to be SBS 9149Y which has been scrapped.

Anyway, do have a ride on this bus. Quite powerful and nice. Especially since it does not sound anywhere like SBS 9888Y. ngjy22 will upload a video of it later. Stay tuned.

2) Unsure of the model of this variation of ZF. The gear selector is not the one we see on normal buses fitted with older ZF 4HP500. The older 4HP500 have "D", "N" and "R" but this one has an additional button, "3" beside the "D".
3) Buttons look quite new to me. So not very sure if it was a recycled gearbox. What is needed now is clarifications from transmission pros - whats the exact model of this ZF variation gearbox? Thanks in advance.

Intresting. Shall try it after my End Of Year exams.

sounds a little like VO3x
Somehow having a '3' in the array of gearbox buttons reminds of... Hong Kong Volvo variants? Or is it some of the VO here?
Somehow I only can remember 1, 2, 3, D, N, R (different from Mercedes 1, 2, 3, N, R) or similar for some of the overseas variants...

Get myself a rest and the link is up ![]()
I wonder did AM or BN did something to the doors. Some kinda music will be played when the front doors are open, I thought it was some kids playing with toy at the first place.

Sounds like the CityBuzz melodies at major bus stops / attractions.

Little beyond doubt its not a voith, the pause in 1st gear says it all.....well, since its said to be a ZF then if I may add, it is tuned roughly to the same as the LOs.

More like at all stops..

Did you notice that quite a number of SMRT Buses (including MBO405 Hispano buses) with dirty stains at the front corners? And a couple of Habit Bus with burnt-like stain towards the rear exterior?

I wouldn't put that down as confirmed if I were you.. what if it's not from 9149Y? Just because it has the same gear selector as a LO3X would doesn't mean it has to be cannibalized from one. Are the pushbuttons the new-style black ones or the old square transparent ones?

Old square transparent ones.
The 3/31/67 Berth at Tampines Bus Int also under construction.

Sounds like a VO.....especially if you seat at the rear of the lower deck.

Ah just checked out an old book... The HK KMB Alexander/Volgren VSO have 1, 2, D, N, R for the gears (those having the 5HP590 boxes).
Must have somehow lost in my memory about the LO3X here, thanks for the tip on the button configs.
