these services esp 25, 70 and 161 do not have big demands after off peak double deckers are close to empty after 8pm AM wasting money la..services like 133 and 166 are at least better choices as they pass thru big portions city notl ike 70 only marina ctr or shenton way.. all the Volvo always go there de.. for what? even 24 such a demanding service close to never touched Volvos la.186 also go thru city but they get what? You know lar, S25 has always been showered with a fleet of newer buses, the LOs were just there to replace some SDs. The purpose of deploying newer buses on S25 is to compete with its rival company's S854. Now SBST deploys WAB buses on S25, you should understand why.
I think amdep had plans to deploy B9TLs on S70, but to cancel the decision because they do not have sufficient B9TLs. It seem amdep has another way of thinking, other than S21, they chooses "wierd" services to become WAB. They chose S72 and S76 is because they are one of the few demanding routes. However, this two services cannot take and alight PIWs at polyclinics and hospitals. Example, S76 plies Ang Mo Kio Thye Hua Kwan Hospital, but the bus stop is inaccessible to PIWs. amdep tend to deploy better buses on high demand services. I can't explain S24. Sometimes it depends on the service leaders. If they are influencing, their requests can be granted. Yes, like the case of S198 and S99. S198 has an influencing service leader, while S99 service leader is seldom seen on S99, S99 service leader cannot make much comments about S99, so S198 managed to "clinch" the deal easily. Same thing for S70, there's Ah Lim there (those ppl who heard abt him from me should know who), although not service leader but has some "power" in his words.
S24, let pax enjoy the mercz first. It is likely S24 will get the K230UBs. How can you expect a world class airport using old buses?

Currently the only SP buses in the B9TL fleet is 7466 and 7467.
Unconfirmed status would be 7439 7440 7441 7442 7443 7481 and 7483.
With 7441 always on 21, and more or less the other AM SP B9s all seen on 25, that leaves AMDEP with 0 SP B9TLs liao.
So currently only HG has SP B9s. -

SBS2830J (BN 39) really met with an accident i guess. It's back on Service 39 but with more than half of the Dove Straight & Silky ad on the right side gone. The left side's ad still remains though. -

Good to see it back. Last 2 weeks often see 3722G and/or 0975M cameoing on it's slot while it was away.
P.S.: TIB 0565 U could be the Strider that was involved in the accident together with the DM3500 as well as it's the only other Strider on Lay-Up apart from 0663U which is awaiting spare parts due to a fire on Thomson Rd while on 167 last time. -
