I boarded SBS 2668 L on Service 83 from Sengkang to Punggol yesterday. I noticed that whenever the BC accelerates past a certain limit, there would be a loud screeching sound coming from the rear left tyres. After BC slows down, and accelerates again, the sound comes back.
a) Is this a result of worn-out tyres?
b) What are the potential hazards to this problem? -

So far only AMDEP bendies I know that have this are 1148J and 1238H.

back in pri sch, every S67 Strider starting frm Tamp Int on first trip had this screeching sound everytime it accelerated. -

Hey, my sis says that she saw TIB227* but I thought the bus was Scrapped and Deregistered? She said the bus was on service 190. She says it looks like a DAF.

One thing to note is that this is a pretty common problem among the MK4s (exclude DM3500) when the depots dont really take care of their buses. -

Generally no hazard. The radiator should still work fine, even at 80% rpm compared to usual. Compare this with radiator leak (green fluid), that one is straight away send back, if not the bus engine might catch fire from overheating. -

most likely the 7.49am bus and the 7.59am bus bunched together. not forgetting that the massive jam at whitley rd due to the detour this morning may have caused the delay. -
