For one, who causes oily hair stains?Originally posted by vIn.Warrior:i think the bus companies ought to clean up their buses like every quarter or half a year basis.
in the meantime, clean up the oily hair stains off the windows, mop the bus floors, clean up the aircon ducts and also clear the nests of roaches or other insects.
Buses' condition are dropping because no one bother to take the effort to thoroughly clean up the interior ever since the bus was first commissioned.
i think it's what the bus companies shld do. we pay for the fare hoping to have a comfortable ride as well.
Hopes SPH will read that and open her mind wide bout refurbishing or buy more new buses.Kukucheow woman!Originally posted by sbst275:

Yes, you're right. SMRT has the responsibility to clean up their buses, but notice that you also mentioned "every 2 weeks". That's the keypoint here. What I'm trying to say is that SMRT can't be cleaning each bus once or twice everyday because manpower is not enough, and it takes a damn long time.Originally posted by Scania:I still remembered that there was this show on TIBS in the late 1990s. They showed how TIBS staff went into the bus (a NAC Nissan/Hino) to spray insecticide and they described it as done "every 2 weeks"...how times have changed, roaches on every other SMRT bus you see.
Although it is the fault of the passengers to throw rubbish on the buses, it is however the responibility of the bus comapnies to keep their buses clean. Lets say, if another class which was having lessons at your homeroom, littered the classroom, whose responsibility is it to clean up the classroom?
Then BC should come in and help out . Theres a posting at Yishun Int that SLs should keep in mind that their driving area should be free of cardboard and newspaper . Hope this can extend to the entire bus. Sweeping some tissues , plastic bags and wrappers shouldn't take very long.Originally posted by Oceane:Yes, you're right. Yea I've seen some BCs doing that. Especially the perm uncle of 1231B; he always wipes the bus when his breaks start.Originally posted by Scania N113CRB luver:Then BC should come in and help out . Clean window not his job lah.Originally posted by Oceane:Yea I've seen some BCs doing that. Especially the perm uncle of 1231B; he always wipes the bus when his breaks start.
But for them to clean up every window after they arrive back at the interchange, sounds too tedious for a BC. He should be entitled to his break instead.![]()
The thing is that, the current state of cleanliness makes me wonder how often they clean their buses thoroughly, I don't think they do it every two weeks like what TIBS did.Originally posted by Oceane:Yes, you're right.
