As part of the trial, we are enhancing our existing Integrated Bus Operating System (IBOS) software to provide the estimated arrival times of our buses. Once the Real-Time Bus Arrival Information System trial is successfully carried out, we will consider extending the provision of arrival timings through other channels such as the Internet and mobile devices.
When will the trial be finished? I don't think its just a few months...Originally posted by simnatic:Once the Real-Time Bus Arrival Information System trial is successfully carried out, we will consider extending the provision of arrival timings through other channels such as the Internet and mobile devices.

I was at the Chong Pang stop today towards Sembawang. Service 980 shows "Next bus 35 mins, Subsequent bus 46 mins".Originally posted by Frogleg888:It will be easier for SMRT to try out their Real-time bus arriving system(IBOS)
cos almost all their services have to wait longer than 10 minutes..
If i wait at Chong Pang bus stop heading towards woodlands,i expect to see the display:
969, next bus ,10 mins.
856,next bus 11 mins,
858,next bus 12 mins.
I believe at anytime i wait at that(or any Smrt) bus stop,it will show the same waiting time,so why waste money?![]()
Then instead of the WAB logo for wheelchair bus for SBST, SMRT one will show Nissan logo when Nissan is next bus.Originally posted by patdog112:what an ugly sight during peak hrs..
966 nx bus 20min sub 45min![]()
Nissan is too long a name . Is "UD" lah.Originally posted by stooper:Then instead of the WAB logo for wheelchair bus for SBST, SMRT one will show Nissan logo when Nissan is next bus.![]()

All about the same mindset one what... Always think SMRT sucks, SBST rocks.Originally posted by carbikebus:Aiya YX if cont sure flame war one.
maybe your should start thinking of SMRT's plus points instead of it minus points?Originally posted by Oceane:All about the same mindset one what... Always think SMRT sucks, SBST rocks.
Then start pick here pick there lor.
Both companies also got plus and minus. Some people here only try to use "propaganda" and just list out all the bad points, and thus the source becomes "unreliable" because it is one-sided.Originally posted by chocolates-xed:maybe your should start thinking of SMRT's plus points instead of it minus points?

SBQ, anyone?![]()
How true,This is what i leran to know when i attend their courses and briefing.SMRT Main focus is MRT,LRT then buses while SBST is the other way round.SBST rail line is less compared to SBST so they dun have much problems.Anyway i still prefer if they retain TIBS.Originally posted by muziq bus:true.
SMRT feels that the train network is the backbone and the buses are like small veins and capillaries...
SBS on the other hand depend on their buses more... therefore more buses and services
Well when you think of it, SMRT really does not have many plus points to begin with...Originally posted by chocolates-xed:maybe your should start thinking of SMRT's plus points instead of it minus points?
