The Most Annoying Stretch Of Road
Have you guys encounter any annoying stretch of road. Sometimes during peak hours it is understandable that traffic light seems to turn red
But how about off peak hours?
Let me give you an example
BUKIT PANJANG
Poor bus routes that run along that stretch ( 171, 960 ,963 )
Jelebu Road <--> Petir Road ( Around Bt Panjang Plaza - Bus Interchange)
Very irritating stretch of road. Once you get caught when the traffic light turn red. Be prepared to wait for quite awhile. IRRITATING
Clementi
Poor bus routes that run along that stretch (52, 99, 105, 106, 173 and especially 188 & 963)
Clementi Avenue 6 <--> Commonwealth Ave West ( Nan Hua Primary - ITE)
Very fustrating stretch oso . Once you cannot beat the red light after the traffic light turns red. Be prepared to wait for a long while along ( Nan Hua - ITE) -
Jln Eunos... geylang road .. Bedok MRT area ...

First candidate
Upper Serangoon Rd from Braddell Rd to Hougang Av 2, macam like Woksel Rd junction small road but need to wait a long time for the lights to turn green.
Then Serangoon Av 2 junction also need to wait for a long time,e specially if you travelling towards Punggol. Then at Serangoon Central same thing happens.
Upp Paya Lebar Rd junction is a definite stop, the traffic light at Upp Paya Lebar isn't synchronised to let drivers (even Ferrari or F1 drivers) go through right after the Serangoon Central junction.
After that, traffic is slightly better, however road condition, especially on the bus lane between the mosque and Simon Rd is so atrocious, that the bus basically just bounces non-stop, even if you are on a car, it would only be slightly better. The solution, fit your car with a Bose suspension system.
At between Serangoon Junior College and Hougang Av 2, traffic can sometimes be a standstill during peak hours, cos its a major junction, after Hougang Av 2, it is usually a smooth ride.
2nd Candidate
Braddell Rd.
Unwitting choice, cos double ERP on CTE means traffic from AMK Av 1 would go to Lor Chuan and then to Braddell Rd. Thomson Rd and Bendeemer Rd ERP also forces motorists to use Braddell Rd.
CTE + Thomson + Upp Serangoon/Bendeemer traffic redirected into Braddell Rd and then Toa Payoh, no wonder they want to build a ERP in Toa Payoh.
Braddell Rd is jammed at around 7am before the ERP starts and clears at around 7:30am. And then the slip road to Toa Payoh is jammed from then onwards until around 9am.
3rd candidate, Woodlands Centre Rd
Jam, Jam and Jam when its peak hours and weekends. Bad road design. Vehicles from Admiralty Rd and the Woodlands Centre carpark try to get to Johor, while buses from Marsling area and St 13 area try to get to the old checkpoint, tied in the gridlock. Because of this Woodlands feeder, 178, 160, 170, CW1 and sometimes even CW2 and SJE have to set down (alight) at Woodlands Centre Rd and passengers have walk to checkpoint or Sheng Shiong.
4th Candidate, Choa Chu Kang Rd (Section 1, between Upp Bukit Timah Rd 10ms (16km) and Bukit Batok Rd)
Design flaw. 2 lane road which needs to handle a 3 lane road's load. The railway crossing worsens the situation, once there is a train, the jam can last as long as 30 mins after the train had passed. Busiest road with railway crossing in Singapore.
5th Candidate, Upp Bukit Timah Rd 7ms (11km)/KAP/Pei Hwa Presb Pri School/Ngee Ann Poly/PIE area
Too many major roads coverging into one area
6th Candidate, Macpherson/Upp Serangoon/Jln Kolam Ayer (PIE)/Jln Toa Payoh (PIE)/Serangoon Rd/Bendeemer Rd area
Too many major roads converging + ERP during both peak periods on CTE means jam.
7th Candidate.
Telok Blangah Rd between Brani Gate and Seah Im Rd.
Outdated Road design, the flyover only help those going to Alexandra Rd and West Coast Highway/Pasir Panjang. People going to Vivo, Haborfront, Sentosa get stuck in the jam during weekends. The government may not have realised that WTC is now gone.
8th Candidate.
Kranji Rd. Railway crossing which allows only one direction to travel at one time. If you get stuck in a jam there, be prepared to wait for 10 to 20 mins.
9th Candidate.
Paya Lebar Rd/Geylang Rd
Screwed Up, screwed up and screwed up, too much traffic and space constraints + construction, hopefully KPE and circle line would help.
10th Candidate
Jln Eunos/Eunos Link
Too much traffic, no fast link from Ubi to PIE besides Jln Eunos and Paya Lebar Rd. Same for Kaki Bukit and Bedok Reservoir. -

Upper Serangoon Rd(towards City Area) the junction of Hougang St 21 and UPS
The timing of the traffic light is fast and this will result a jam along Upper Serangoon Rd during late morning/early afternoon of a weekend and during morning peak hours of weekends. -
Weekday(Not mentioned):
Whitley Road
City direction in morning 7am - 8.30am.
Weekend special:
Joo Chiat Rd
Especially stretch between east cost road and marine parade road on saturdays and sundays around noon and slightly before/after. Due to many parents illegally parking along the road to wait for their children to come out from tutiton plus poor traffic light timings and lane markings resulting in that whole stretch being jammed sometimes and also the stretch from dunman rd to east coast road southbound direction. poor traffic light timings again and one lane road(bo pian), resulting in sometimes even if you see Sv16 from far from the bus stop opp katong mall, you will have to wait for 2 - 3 rounds of traffic light changes before the bus finally arrives. -
PIE exit at Jln Eunos.
Bendemeer Rd near the junction of Lavender Street.
Jln Besar near the junction of Bukit Timah Rd. -

oh yea i agreee with you... even waiting for a bus you will feel the vehicles trying to kill each other so that they will go into the correct lanes to go to diff places. -
for me, Lentor Ave. ever tio jammed inside there juz coz of accident. cant move, even a single inch. the 852 driver just applied the parking brake and stretched himself, or juz hit the steering wheel.

Mountbatten Rd/Old Airport Rd/Stadium Blvd Junction
During peak hours if you missed the green light, be prepared to wait for at least 2min for your turn. However, the green time along Mountbatten Rd is at least 30s.
Woodsville Flyover's Arterial Roads
The roads consists of
1. Macpherson Rd (towards Bendemeer)
2. Serangoon Rd
3. Whompoa North
4. Upp Serangoon Rd (towards Bendemeer)
During peak hours Whompoa North is jammed - need to wait for about 3 cycles to get it through. Serangoon Rd gets jammed especially PM Peak and thereafter. Situation is better if you are on the bus and its during bus lane hours. -

the cck road rairoad i stay there only.. the flats there.. almost everyday jam.. last time they haven build over head brigde its impossible to cross the road

Bukit Timah Road and Dunearn Road
Jams all over in the early mornings -
Whampoa East to Serangoon Rd,Luck play a crucial roles.If your bus has good pick up then its ok otherwise be prepared to be sandwiches & horn by arrogant & inconsiderate drivers

AM PEAK BKE (after bt panjang exit towards PIE)
no matter how many ERPs the garmen places, the situation will stil be the same..
i dont mind paying but why is the situation no improved??
2nd Most Annoying Choice
AM/PM PEAK PIE STEVENS ROAD EXIT
no matter it is from Tuas or Changi direction, it will always jam up to the highway..
3rd Most Annoying Choice
ALL DAY! STILL ROAD
again, no matter wat direction, sure slow traffic!! -
Old Airport Road->Guilimard Camp road->Guilimard Road->Old Airport road
Old Airport rd used to be a straight road. Now vehicles have to waste time detouring to guilimard road and having a few more traffic lights along the way.
Lower Delta Road
Always heavily jammed in the evening peak hour
Jln Eunos/ Geylang/ Sims Ave
Always Heavy traffic -
too many vehicles on the road
