what i wish for in a bus?
1) eye pleasing interior. soothing colours. i dun like brown. haha. maybe beigey stuffs and auspiciuosly red kind of scheme with the lively bright yellow. seats r current yellow, thats cool
2) safety flooring. hhigh frcition grabbing of shoes flooring so wun slipped and fall when bus go fast. good floor colour like grey.
3) easy to spot grip poles. bright yellow good. but other colouyrs like bright cyan or lime green is way cooler.
4)comfortable ride: headrest seats, hhong kong style with side grabbies in bright yellow so can hold on to seat if no more stanchion or those grip things. comfy leather cushion headrest seats. with good colour like pink or yellow or nice shade of red.
5) nice adjustable air-con ducts and vents. the best config is 2 in lateral to aisle like most buses.
6) in bus LCD screen about he size of current sbst poster holders. top portion show LED style next bus stop location. middle portion usual LCD screen portion with live map showing where bus is
bottem portion in smaller font, next bus stop connecting services.

7) safety for PIW. seatbelt to hold PIW in place. no PIW around, fold up seats.
automatic push button ramps for ease of lowering and lifting.

information boards in bsues for the traveller: route maps. where bus go by or pass by. currently the handouts on buses most dun have (service guides) . this has been doubling up as route info on board bus. clear big poster ala MRT style showing stops is best. but this means bus has to be perm on that svc.
clear rule saying no eating and littering in bus. and no talking to driver.
9) reapkce all bulky driver interaction systems like AVMS and IDFC with single intergrated console,, running on windows with touch screen functiona n big screen to allow easy viewing n issueing of fares + tracking of time schedules. screen na double up as diagnostics when bus in depot instead of jacking in laptop. in esscene a NTFS hard disk type device with windows XP on bus best. maybe touch screen lap top based equipment.
10) less noisy bus ticketing equipment. softer beeps.
11) chinese wordings on EDS instead of juz english.
12) clear marking on steps. some refurb SBS merc no more markings. yellow arrow strips are still the best.
13) clean buses. most buses have dirty air-con ducting. llike never wipe. and buses are very dirty inside. more sparying of roach get rid of disinfectants.
14) ample leg room when putting up those head rest seats positions
15) better engine insulation and engine radiation 9get rid of hot air0 so that bus rear not so hot. better engine insulation for quieter ride.
16) push bells at seat level at window dividers. lesser on stanchions if bell dennsity is well spread round bus using the window diver sections. exmaple: DAF Sb220 of CSS in 2004. TIb425 is the only example now running with this standard.
17) roof bell strip for standees who are hard to each for nearby stanchion bell.

EDS of Scania k230UB : single destination. not from -> ??? format used in K230UB. confusing. just one destination in English n chinese with number in wider font will do. side EDS satisfactory.
