Maybe extra SP buses will be used on weekends?Originally posted by Oceane:I know 19 is one of them... but I thought those Premium services depend on crossover buses fully and not SP? Unless... these SP buses did those services it was supposed to pluck buses from.![]()
Only a few. There are few sunlight spots in town along the CS route.Originally posted by Oceane:Man... I wonder how many people were at Suntec shooting buses today.
How was business on those services on their first day?![]()
I think 1 reason why this was so is because SBST didn't announce their launch of these premiums properly... just give them a poster then ask them go read up online.Originally posted by ^tamago^:Only a few. There are few sunlight spots in town along the CS route.
Business ah... every first day bus also same what - less than 10 pax per trip.![]()
I don't think so. Even if you throw a new route at anyone like in the past, ridership on the first day is always terrible because most people already have in mind how they want to go to somewhere with existing services, and when they see a new service, they will still have to read the route map, understand and decide. Just look at bus 88, which started with mostly single-decks on the first day.Originally posted by Oceane:I think 1 reason why this was so is because SBST didn't announce their launch of these premiums properly... just give them a poster then ask them go read up online.![]()
Which is why I wonder why 3/4 buses were used compared to just 1 bus for the Premium services.Originally posted by ^tamago^:I don't think so. Also, most people are internet-literate, and that is probably the audience SBST wants to target first and are most receptive to such premium services.
Channel NewsAsia ran a report on the services yesterday.Originally posted by Oceane:I think 1 reason why this was so is because SBST didn't announce their launch of these premiums properly... just give them a poster then ask them go read up online.![]()
Exposure and the need to keep to published frequencies and timetable. If you're going to have a 1-hour wait for the bus, might as well close it since nobody would even consider it.Originally posted by Oceane:Which is why I wonder why 3/4 buses were used compared to just 1 bus for the Premium services.
Maybe SBST decides to use Darts tomorrow.
OT: K230s suitable for service for the first week leh.![]()

There's not even Darts to go around, and the way the service operates, based on crossovers, you know it can't be using Scania's.
I tell you on Monday, ok?Originally posted by Oceane:P.S.: Will different buses be used for weekdays?
Ok Ok.Originally posted by ^tamago^:I tell you on Monday, ok?![]()
Some of the 97e buses are actually SP buses on weekends, that's why they frequently appear on 502 on Sat and Sun.Originally posted by Oceane:580 from 97
I dont think it is good I think. Today saw SBS2819T on 579 with no ppl inside the bus. Maybe the ppl either find it too expensive or maybe they can take other servicesOriginally posted by Oceane:Man... I wonder how many people were at Suntec shooting buses today.

I think there are no more 97e buses crossing over to 502 in the weekends..Originally posted by stooper:Some of the 97e buses are actually SP buses on weekends, that's why they frequently appear on 502 on Sat and Sun.
So they may not actually be x-overs.
Tammy put in SGWiki that he saw only 3 buses on 580 leh.Originally posted by service_238:580 xover is from 334 and 105.
105 has less 1 full day bus and 334 has less 3 split shifts. meaning the 105 bus that does 580 does full day.
I saw 579s with a few pax in it on PIE and an empty 576 mk4 dm on PIE but others had a few pax too(les than 579)Originally posted by bus555:I dont think it is good I think.
