Opps, 1159C soiled for the night...
I think many SMRT buses have the same problem that seats are dusty and by fact they are easy to trap dust... -

Another SMRT bus was complained by a reader and was published in the ST forum too
It is TIB848D(sv 75), the reader complained on the leaking roof and also the long frequency and packed condition of the bus. -

Thick layer of dust and dead cockroach in bus
I BOARDED service 190 (TIB 1157 H) last Wednesday and sat at a window seat.
I immediately noticed a musty smell and found, to my horror, that the window ledges all around the bus had a layer of thick dust on them.
Where I was sitting, there were even two small cockroach carcasses, turned upside down, right in front of my face.
The bus ceiling, especially around the air-conditioner outlets, was also filthy with dried black patches of dust.
Apparently, the bus had not been cleaned for a long time.
This was an air-con bus, and passengers had to breathing in all this dust, which is a health hazard.
Does anyone regularly inspect the standard of cleanliness of these buses, other than ensuring the bus floor is swept?
Also, on certain days and on some buses, the air-conditioner is at full blast to the discomfort of passengers, or the air-con outlets drip water constantly onto their laps.
In the wake of rising costs and fares, the standard of service should be raised in tandem and not go in the opposite direction.
In buses and taxis, basic cleanliness and regular maintenance to ensure passengers' comfort is a form of customer service.

Complaint #2: TIB 0848 D (WLDEP 961)
Leaky roofs plus buses arriving late and full
FOR some reason, the roofs of service 75 buses seem to drip even when it is not raining. On Dec 10, I boarded 848 D and the dripping was so bad, the magazine I was reading tore right through.
Also, on every working day for the past four weeks, many of us have waited more than 25 minutes for service 75 (from Marina Bay to Choa Chu Kang) at the bus stop before Outram MRT station.
When the bus arrives at around 8.20pm, it is always packed and often the driver has to tell us to wait for the next bus.
And after waiting for another 25 minutes, the next bus is also full.
I was told the delay is as a result of Marina-bound buses being caught in traffic jams along Grange and Outram roads.
This seems to make no sense as services 196 and 167, which run on more or less the same route, keep to their schedule.
If the delay is truly because of Grange-Outram jams, surely the answer is to 'leave' some buses at the Marina terminal.
Such poor service makes it really hard not to want to drive to work.
Two fare increases ago, the bus companies promised an improvement in their services. Clearly, there has been no improvement, especially with regard to service 75.
Could the Public Transport Council please look into this matter?

SBST window ledges is also dirty actually... some of the 0405s got cobweb on the window ledge, but seems that when AM go refurbish the WA 0405s they cleaned the window ledge and even replaced the rubber lining -

Good at least my suggestion will come true.All they do is waste money at some "family bussiness" cleaners who do nothing much at night besides sleeping in the buses.They use outdated vacumm to suck the dust rather than change it to PVC types.One more i would like to hear is to change all flip dot matrix EDS to LED types for the convienance to the elderly
BTW SMRT Staff are entitle to NTUC $100 & Swensens $200 dining vouchers besides annual bonus

He owns himself... Sv 167 and 196 dun even serve Grange Rd.. somemore it's Marina bound, if 1 direction is affected the other direction would also be affected and the poor BC got to forfeit his break

At first thot its a MK2 bendy . Cuz MK2 bendies are REALLY dusty. Worse than most bendies. Take a good look at their aircon filters , they are clogged with dust . The seats , do i even need to mention?
