Once again, let me point out to you who SMRT is. SMRT IS A PUBLIC COMPANY. Not your grandfather's company. Its main objective is to deliver higher returns to their shareholders.
Although you are right to mention that taking the bus is a daily necessity, too bad, at the end of the day, profit is still the main objective. If SMRT were to contract out more frequent cleaning services, its going to put a strain on the company's budget and it might affect their plans for fleet renewals.
Now now, you certainly dont want that to happen right? Im sure you would enjoy new buses as much as I do. A few layer of dust is unlikely to kill the passengers right?
So before you ask for more cleaning services, please think of the poor SMRT shareholders who are going to receive lesser dividends all because you want to travel in a dust free environment.
PS: I think you should buy some SMRT shares, maybe after you do, you wouldnt really mind the dust too much. I went on board 969 today and was shocked at how long the queue was at Tampines Interchange. I also noticed that only SMRT bay terminals were flooded with long queues, strangely, SS transit bays had not many long queues...
Im merely stating an observation, not asking why you dumbo. Cant read and understand ah?Originally posted by 566117:long queue because bad frequency, you dont have common sense issit?![]()

Yeah it's not my grandfather's co, but if it can't even put commuters 1st, sorry then it should give up running public utility facilities like public buses and MRT. If Mdm Saw say her co is providing world class transport, show it.
Such an company should not even be allowed to exist as a public transportation company. Even if your thinking is there, very likely SMRT will lose its routes like CMB in no time when the tendering kicks in. Since you say not really profitable, I wun want to bid for a bundle of profitable and non profitable routes
Dusty bus wun kill??? You go find out wat dustmites would do to you... I suppose you 'do not mind' sleeping w/ dustmites on your pillow w/ you every night ba![]()

We want to encourage public transportation, buses and MRT gotta be frequent and not long queue from alrdy the interchange...
Too bad, SMRT areas of responsibility lies in the north.Originally posted by carbikebus:1st of all SMRT is not even entitle to World class tpt,its Comfortdelgro aim to be one. With the so called Train priority attitude the buses cannot go anywhere further but to receive more unhappy comments and criticism only.As for now what i know from reliable sources the old buses will go for major refurbishment(EDS/PVC Seat cushion/Reflooring/Repainting) when some of the new buses start on service. For now i feel its time we keep our mouth shut and just concentrate on SBST buses more. We'll see what happen in future.![]()

I don't think there's a need to protray a pro-SBST image and say that it takes over important SMRT routes.Originally posted by sbst275:It's not over anti
SMRT is slowly behaving like ex CMB

Unstable somemoreOriginally posted by sbst275:and I'll say, SBS also has its fair share of problem on Svs like 154 (Long waiting time + overload)
+ VO2x gotta work like VO3x or LO3xOriginally posted by SBS9889U:Unstable somemoreLast last friday at Jln TPY between 7.10pm and 7.14pm there were 4 Sv154s (1 DD fully packed till door, 2nd SD with many standees, 3rd bus no standee, 4th bus no standee) arriving.
The only thing SMRT stopped short of becoming another CMB is having strikes in the company.Originally posted by sbst275:Tat's wat happens to CMB
CityBus slowly ate up its profitable routes (British HK Govt took away all its profitable rts) and tat caused a short compeition to start but eventually CMB lost everything
