My view is:I will definitely pay 20 cents for the teenager if I am on that bus.

if one driver is loose on him, then he goes doing the same trick to another bus, very soon we will get even harder crackdown by bus captains on abuse on these concession pass holders. this is not a win-win situation for everyone.

From time to time, commuters have paid EXTRA cents due to errors in the system, isn't that EXTRA cents enough to make up for the 20 cents, already??

BC: Why does he argue with passenger for only 20c?? Not like he will get fired rite? Also, he should not stop for 20min. 1-2min is bearable. but 20min? wat if you are in a hurry??
Teenager: the obvious answer is that it is wrong to cheat fares. From his appearance, i would also think he is not a student.
Why do SBST BC need to ask ppl for student pass when paying cash? Surely they can tell whether you are a student. If they cant tell, it will be very dangerous for them to drive on the roads, if you get what i mean... -

how many bus service does SBST have? (say 100) if everybody tries this act on every service, wouldn't SBST be losing out? where will they get the money to buy new buses for you all to sit when you people keep on scream and complaint on old buses? -

My view is this: If the BC doesn't set the boundary, more and more will continue to push the limits. The bus driver is clearly not at fault; even if he parked his bus for 20 minutes, WHO CAUSED IT?
1) Teenager (obviously)
2) THE BLOODY PASSENGERS WHO STAND THERE KPKB BUT NEVER EVEN BOTHER TO OFFER 20 CENTS TO THE TEENAGER.
I believe there was a link to the youtube video on STOMP, and in it it shows a man with white shirt shouting at the BC to drive the bus. My stand is this: If that white shirt man has the guts to scold the BC for not moving, why doesn't he have the guts to help the teenager pay the fare? Typical moron I should say.
Let me reiterate this again: BCs are NOT at fault for trying to hold up a bus due to some stupid teenager who has the money to buy so much things but no money to pay the bus fare. And if the teenager does not have enough I wonder why is he still so brainless and thick-skinned to stay on the bus to hold up everyone's time. Like I said, since nobody bothered to help the teenager pay the extra 20 cents, why should the BC move? -
I think the BC is right to approach that guy but if the time he used is too long.. Maybe after 8 mins if he cannot settle, he got to call for assistance and report it..

Normally if got conductor come spot check, people who pay less will be asked to pay up what... -

If everyone cheats fare and all BCs "pretend", how much will bus companies lose? So much so for complaints of old buses.
And I don't think the BC was being brainless; should be the teenager instead.
