40 mins wait for SMRT Sv 178 at Boon Lay when 3 buses in Int

It's normal to wait that long for 178. As a regular for that service, i'm sort of used to that kind of waiting.

Ya......especially when the venue is at the bloody interchange.
I've also waited half an hour for bus 30 at boon lay interchange when there are a few bus 30s parked there.

Some bus drivers skip their shifts and the next bus driver cover up. You dunno meh?
I eavesdrop on one driver one time. He told another driver who boarded the bus that the previous shift's bus driver is sick so last min didnt drive. Now he cover up for two person. Next time then payback.

Orh, for the 'double job', I would say quite often, if a driver falls sick then how? Standby BCs not so common to take up the place esp rush hours.
My longest wait for Svc 178 was 45 minutes, around 1930hrs, at Woodlands Int. -

If you wait for a bus in JB, it gets a whole lot worse. I remembered boarding Service 88 from Tanjung Sedili - Kota Tinggi and the bus arrives at Tanjung Sedili at 9 am and the driver said that the bus will not move till 10 am!!!

many malaysian public buses.. the drivers ait till bus is full then departs.
frequency can be 1hr in between trips....
thats why many people own private transport there. -

Go by private car, express coaches from Singapore or if no choice, trains. -
Safest way is by express coach. New Buses+Efficient+Clean Buses+good maintainace= Good Public Transport
Handal Indah orders new buses, mostly from MAN and Mercedes with Singapore's Liannex Homemade Body. I remembered one bus company that has it's fleet made entirely out of Scania L113CRLs bodied by East Lancs. The bus sounds are good but the interior is not worth an experience on a Scania. -
45 mins wait minor i once have to wait 50mins for the express service 502 to come causing me to be grossly late for my work . I go look at the timetable which say is a 25 min interval but i waited a total of 50mins . How does SBS explain that ? Are they trying to say 25 min is just a guideline but the actual timing can varies as many as they like ? And the first bus for 197 also getting late nowadays causing me to be late for my work also .

I mean, look. 25 + 25 = 50. So, you mised Bus A and you wait for Bus B. Then, Bus B broke down somewhere and you ended up taking Bus C. Understand? -

Well I also faced long waiting time for buses in Hong Kong too. Me and my friend waited for this bus service 15 to bring us up to The Peak from Admiralty MTR station. We waited for almost 50 minutes and a fully packed DD bus arrived. That time I almost gave up waiting and wanted to take a cab instead. But anyway we still managed to board the bus up
Anyway this was the bus that we took...

I was at the Peak one fine evening in December. The queue at the Peak terminus was so long that I had to board the 3th bus that came. The frequency at that time was 12min.
