I've waited for 30 minutes for the bus at Kranji and 4 northbound MRTs, 1 Service 925 bus, 4 Service 961 buses, 2 960 buses, 10+ Service 170 buses past me during my wait.Originally posted by TIB1224Y:Orh, for the 'double job', I would say quite often, if a driver falls sick then how? Standby BCs not so common to take up the place esp rush hours.
My longest wait for Svc 178 was 45 minutes, around 1930hrs, at Woodlands Int.
u donnnnno JB bus standards meh? they are not really that efficient..Originally posted by tintinspartan:I've waited for 30 minutes for the bus at Kranji and 4 northbound MRTs, 1 Service 925 bus, 4 Service 961 buses, 2 960 buses, 10+ Service 170 buses past me during my wait.
If you wait for a bus in JB, it gets a whole lot worse. I remembered boarding Service 88 from Tanjung Sedili - Kota Tinggi and the bus arrives at Tanjung Sedili at 9 am and the driver said that the bus will not move till 10 am!!!
I'll be posting some photos of JB Buses here soon.
My longest wait was 1hrs30mins for a bus in JB. (If didnt remember wrongly, JUSCO to somewhere near the customs.)Originally posted by tintinspartan:I've waited for 30 minutes for the bus at Kranji and 4 northbound MRTs, 1 Service 925 bus, 4 Service 961 buses, 2 960 buses, 10+ Service 170 buses past me during my wait.

I've never wanted to take buses in Malaysia. Irregular frequencies (even worse than Singapore's) coupled with dirty and filthy buses is a no no for me.Originally posted by sBs_boy:My longest wait was 1hrs30mins for a bus in JB. (If didnt remember wrongly, JUSCO to somewhere near the customs.)
Safest way is by express coach. Car, depends on whether you are driving a Keilsa/Kanchil/Old Wira/Old Saga or a Merc/Lexus/BMW, the latter three examples and other brands in the same rank are usually targets of car theft, the former 3 are the least likely.Originally posted by Oceane:I've never wanted to take buses in Malaysia. Visit MalaysiaGo by private car, express coaches from Singapore or if no choice, trains.
The example setter for JB Buses is of course Handal Indah.Originally posted by Scania:Safest way is by express coach. MAybe the bus broke down.Originally posted by TWE:45 mins wait minor i once have to wait 50mins for the express service 502 to come causing me to be grossly late for my work . I go look at the timetable which say is a 25 min interval but i waited a total of 50mins . How does SBS explain that ? Are they trying to say 25 min is just a guideline but the actual timing can varies as many as they like ? And the first bus for 197 also getting late nowadays causing me to be late for my work also .
Looks like an OAC Nissan....grey seats, plus window wide cannot open oneOriginally posted by tintinspartan:That must be TIB1249B
TIB1249B flooring is starting to fall apart. There are holes everywhere! And I think SMRT needs to refloor the bus has it may cause diaster if kept at long run
CSS179 could be another suspect.Originally posted by vivienlee:Looks like an OAC Nissan....grey seats, plus window wide cannot open one

I was at the Peak one fine evening in December. The queue at the Peak terminus was so long that I had to board the 3th bus that came. The frequency at that time was 12min. So technically speaking I waited for almost 30min before I boarded the bus.Originally posted by TIB1018B:Well I also faced long waiting time for buses in Hong Kong too. Me and my friend waited for this bus service 15 to bring us up to The Peak from Admiralty MTR station. We waited for almost 50 minutes and a fully packed DD bus arrived. That time I almost gave up waiting and wanted to take a cab instead. But anyway we still managed to board the bus up
Anyway this was the bus that we took...
