Security Cameras on board SMRT and SBST

  1. Noticed that recently cameras are not switched on onboard SMRT's buses..
  
  got to know it as i was standing in the front oftenly and noticed the small lcd tv is not on.. so does that mean the camera recording function is not on also?
  
  2. Cameras onboard SBST's b9tls are for monitoring only or it records too??

  well. it does not really mean that.
  i have CCTVs in my house, but we just switch off the LCD display to conserve energy. And yes, it still records.

  LCD tv off doesnt mean it's not working.The CID will review frequently

  but i think it does not make sense to conserve energy cos the driver would not be able to see wats gg on behind if the bus is packed..
