Most Memorable AccidentSBS 2830 J and an unidentified Strider (supposedly TIB 0565 U) crashed at Lentor Ave, blocking up the whole road for about an hour.

Yishun bus services using Lentor Ave to get into AMK / SLE had to re-route through Thomson area before getting on the SLE, then exiting to Lentor Ave to continue the journey.

I was at Jalan Kayu during the time of accident and I originally wanted to go over to take photos but due to time constraints, plan was cancelled and I continued with my plan to go Sengkang.

But anyway, that was one accident which gave the starting mark that there had to be alternatives other than Lentor Ave to go into AMK. There were plans for another siding road to ease congestion during the morning peak of cars, buses, lorries etc. going onto the SLE or AMK via Lentor Ave. Though the Junction of Yishun AVE 1 and Lentor AVE was amended to hold larger vehicle volume, I don't think that is still sufficient.
OT: There were 2 other accidents happening in the same area in Yishun during the day of this Lentor accident. Bad day for Yishun buses I guess.
Most Memorable DeploymentsMKIIs on Bishan services! 17XX series were seen on 52, 58, 59 but sadly they were only there for a brief period before disappearing altogether. 52 got replaced with full O405 fleet, 58 got variables of bus models, while 59 was mostly O405s (with occasional MKIV DM cameos from AMDEP).
Introduction of LO3x into 59Something that I liked a lot!

Though they were split-shift duties but it was common to see them both together during the morning 6am timeslots departing Bishan.
Most Memorable Bus RideTIB 0794 A on 173! From Eng Kong Place to BB INT. Bus driver drove so recklessly I must say... missed 2 passengers' bus stop and tried to turn into BB INT at 45km/h, nearly causing a head-on collision with another car on the opposite lane. Was the most terrifying experience I ever had with SMRT buses...

After I reached home I filed a complaint with SMRT.
Most Memorable CameoFor me... just naming Yishun services, that would have to be UDs on 811.

0364H and 0365E cameoed on 811 once each (on seperate occasions) but there weren't any more on 811 after these 2 occasions. So well... sounds like there were only 2 UD cameos on 811 this year.
Transfer of 1071X to WLDEP and 1042E to KJDEPMan... I miss 1071X so much.

Was my favourite bus whenever it cameoed 812 and other Yishun services; sadly it got transferred to WLDEP after it's rear ad. expired.
As for 1042E... I liked it for it's clear and concise engine sounds.

Also got transferred to KJDEP after rear ad. expired.
Arrival of 0821E and 1205C both from KJDEP to AMDEP0821E was my favourite rigid bus after it arrived in AMDEP simply for it's doors.

Gave it a handsome look on this adless bus.
1205C... I must say it got badly treated by 811 BCs after it's arrival. Engine problems came after it became 811 perm... (perm BC for that bus kept revving the engine so badly there were wierd sounds on that bus soon after

) Disappeared for a while in September / October and arrived back in 811 with it's engine fixed. Now the perm BC doesn't rev the engine so much already.
MKII cameos on 85 (My favourite North-East linking service
)Only happened a few times this year (less than 5 times). Tried catching them but to no avail. One was 1817E (HG SP) which did 85 five days before being deregistered.

Another was 1827B a few days back. Really happy to see these buses on 85 because 85 sounds like express service to me. Link from Punggol to Yishun in just 35 minutes compared to taking the train.

Then as we all know... MKII rock the expressways!
