A 99 VO3xs broke down & repair by Mechs at Boon Lay Place(Opp Former Boon Lay Swim Cplx) last night.
BC used torchlight to guide other vehicles about the breakdown

Sometimes I got a question whether the mech is from their respective depot or just any depot would do? -

Bus Involved: SBS9199C (168)
Cause of Breakdown: Fuel Pump Problem
Description: The Bus first brokedown at Jalan Kayu at 11:25 pm. Engine suddenly went off. BC tried to restart twice but to no avail. A third attempt was made and it finally started and rev the bus. The bus moved off.
Just before reaching Woodlands Int, the engine went dead again after it stopped at a traffic light. 2 attempts were made to restart the engine and it restarted. BC rev the engine again and moved off to complete it's day.
BC told that this problem happens when the fuel pump is not pumping enough diesel fuel to the engine.

Air lock. Means that the amount of diesel in the tank is insufficient for it to be pumped into the engine without air bubbles getting trapped inside. Just bleeding the diesel filter will do to get rid of the air inside.

Location: (75051) Opposite SAFRA Tampines
Nature of Breakdown: Unknown
Details:
1. SBS 9198E was on Service 8 heading for Tampines Bus Interchange when the bus broke down while attempting to move out of the bus bay at bus stop 75051.
2. Passengers have alighted from the bus during the time of witness. The bus driver (female) was seen waiting inside the bus, with the engine switched on. -
Car&bus crash accident along Yishun Ave 2. TIB746P on sv969 involved in this accident. spotted at 1515hrs.
