SBS403Y on service 86 heading towards Sengkang broke down at the Jalan Kayu bus stop before Fernvale Lane. Spotted around 1320hrs.

SBS9496U broke down along Orchard Rd @ approx 1540hrs, all destos removed & rear engine cover opened.

I was on SBS1923G on 5 at Jln Toa Payoh... when i alighted i saw another bus at the bus stop. I go closer to check, SBS2595M was there. Then engine was still running and there was an ambulance in front. The BC was talking to a few of the pax while the paramedics were inside. Does anyone know what happened?

I think I know what bus it is... always see the bus on 969 with that ad.
TIB 0429E perm WLDEP 969.
TIB 0581Y perm AMDEP 969.Both got that ad... very clearly imprinted in my mind because I always see them. Lol.

Seen TIB581Y today on 969 , so can't be 581Y ..

Will try to confirm whether it is the AM bus or the WL bus that langa... by tomorrow.
Sad case... but this does serves as a wake up call to drivers especially buses from both SBST and SMRT... never ever speed on the e-way! Always see 1 SBST and 1 SMRT bus side by side, trying to win the other... and of course the SMRT (If it's an OAC Merc) wins because of it's ZF... but have they ever considered the consequences of such rash acts?

89 MKIIIs did not lose out to the 0405s then.
But. Admittedly this is a really terrible accident waiting to happen. The road shoulder is not wide and it's not the first time nor the last such a accident happens.
