Apparently the SBST statement stated that the accident happened at 6.35pm. This Stomper said it was the morning rush hour.
This is very confusing? It is impossible the accident happened on Tuesday morning when Superbus already reported the accident on Monday night.

i see. i was also trying to understand his comments... the only interesting thing from the stomper is the pic.
Don't think it's PM peak. The sky is very bright. The SBS report also says only 5 people were onboard, which wouldn't be likely, if all the workers were going back to BNL in PM peak.

wah... can see da chassis...
If it is in the PM peak, it would be super pack. I had tried taking with 2 VO2x pack to the door in the PM peak.
Anyways, with a double decker packed and having the same accident, casualties would be very high, and there would be fatal injuries too...
Hope the BC and passengers recover from any injuries soon...
Anyone thinks that the steering response might be involved in this accident? Not only SLBP, but on Leylands as a whole? Thanks...

Not 'leh-long' at Pasir Malam?
Damage quite superficial, if can salvage should not be problem, budget dependent loh...
Compared to fire, this is nothing (kudos to Kranji Depot Art Department for TIB1118X again).
@ SBS9888Y:
well. they have to check the integrity of the chassis structure, as the side of the bus slamming into the ground can loosen up some things in the chassis, also, besides having to replace damaged body panels and broken glass, they also have to check the alignment and condition of the axles.
maybe this costs are not worth bearing so they might just scrap it.
@ TIB1224Y:
it could be due to steering response, LO3Xes as a whole have rather heavy and maybe a bit slow steering, maybe its this inability to respond in a flash might have caused this.
then again, due to the current speed at which the bus was travelling at, and a very sudden swerve taken to avoid the oncoming vehicle, might have caused the bus, which has a high center of gravity, to lean strongly to one side, and the weight of it might have toppled it.
not to forget that the released statement stated that the bus was clipped on its rear end, which might have been another reason why the bus swerved and toppled.
