ZF vs Voith

a mix for me..
love the ZF's on B9TL's.. fast shifting
but love the sound of DM3500 Voith.. -
I like how the MKIII holds its Voith gears.

Btw, that day I took SBS 3904Z on svc 185 the "eeee" sound come like that.. When the bus accelerates, the engine goes "eeeeee" all the way until it stop.

dere r gd n lousy mk3s...i personally lyke eastern mk3s...esp hgdep ones...western mk3s aren't as gd as eastern ones...but mk3s still comes last in my b10m rankings...

I see nothing wrong with ZF,Voith or Allison.Its the company that screw up everthing from the bus acceleration,Mid and Top power.I've drive a 3 speed Voith bus that can run up to 100 kmh w/o problem

volvos have some kind of charm.. hahaha
especially voith ones.
but there are certain MK III on 159 that have no whistle at all, and other which got no whine but loud whistling -

Merc i like for its outstanding power and comfort . -
i like
Enviro 500. with voith gearbox and the turbo whsitling combine + engine sound. soothes the ears n makes u relaxed.
MAN with voith and hubs. like the way the Voith and turbo whsitle combine along with hubs to give a very interesting bus sounds.
closest example is the MAN 18.310 Coaches on CW2.
always wonder how MAN Lion's City G or L type with voiths wd feel like... aim to sit one one of these days

I must say the PSV SC buses look VERY dirty. Much more dirtier than the other bodyworks of MKIV. Anyway not too sure tho , lets wait for a technician to confirm this . So far , IIRC , the MKIV DMs Voiths gearbox were 381.4 , hence some plp say it sounds like mk3 . However i doubt the SC sound any similar to the mk3. -

Then its not DIWA 381.4 for SC MKIV liao . MK3 uses DIWA 381.4 , same as Scania CRBs . So should be DIWA 863.3 . Anyway it isnt same as VO2x i think.
